    • A rosary for those will larger hands.
Upon my return to the Roman Catholic Church, I wanted to begin praying the rosary and I found two that I like very much, a Marian rosary and a Benedictine rosary, however, those both are wonderful and inspiring of one to pray, they are both physically very small. I am an older gentleman with large, arthritic hands that need a larger rosary and this was the rosary which I found that fit the needs of my hands. It appears very sturdy, which is good because I have a tendency to stress my rosaries as I pray. The cord helps me to not pull the rosary apart. It arrives with a nice velvet carrying pouch.     • Yes, it smells like 'oils'
I ignored the other reviews, and they were right. It smells like pachouli oil. But otherwise a really great product, very well made and looks good. Hopefully the smell will fade over time.

I have to say these are really nice. I have them about a week and the feel, the space between the beads and even the slight scent of wood smell is great. As a man, I like having a masculine set of Rosary beads. The different Our Father beads between decades is also a nice separation as I pray and can't see what bead i'm on... The Crucifix and Blessed Mother medals are beautiful and help me to captivate the presence of Our Lord and Holy Mother. The quality seems solid and sturdy so far.
