Just Gorgeous! Beautiful deep navy color (photos don't do it justice.) I'm busty and tried on many dresses that did not fit well, but this was incredibly flattering. I received many compliments. Some reviewers did not like the fact that this dress was not hemmed or finished, but that is just part of the beauty of the dress and fabric. I believe that if you need to shorten it, you would have to get it cut rather than hemmed. I'm 5'1" 148lbs with 38F bust and the 16 Petite fit me well. I wore 1 1/2 inch heels and did not need to shorten it. Also, I was able to iron it by placing another piece of fabric on it before ironing and making sure not to touch the dress with the iron directly. ... show more

For clothing, the important points of evaluation are accuracy in sizing, quality of materials, the feel of the fabric on your skin, wash-ability, closet-space and fold-ability. As such, for dresses, these are the points I evaluate. I can't evaluate style, as we all have different tastes, but the objective points can be easily reported in review, to aid you in your search for that special something that will work for you and make you feel beautiful. Accuracy In Sizing AND Quality of Materials: This is a lovely dress and I am keeping it, to have it tailored. What is important to know is that it is cut for a larger bust than one might expect. The measurements were accurate, except for the bust, which was about three inches wider, side to size, six inches wider all the way around, than was advertised. I am, again, having it tailored, because the dress is lovely, made of a very nice fabric that drapes beautifully and has a bit of stretch to it, so it can hang more loosely on a smaller woman and fit more tightly on a larger woman. I always like clothing that can be shared among family and friends, so this is a big plus for me. Still, that bust issue is an important one, given how much larger it was than advertised. The dress is also very long. I am 5'6" tall and it was dragging on the floor. Again, it can be tailored, but sometimes you need a dress, right here, right now, to go somewhere, and this is not that dress. It has sizing issues that might make it difficult for you to get ready for wearing, either requiring you to do some sewing or have it tailored. As such, even though it is a truly beautiful dress, I am only giving it four stars. The quality of the fabric, the design, the overall feel against the skin, all of it, is so wonderful, that I can't go lower than four, even though the sizing is quite inaccurate. In reviewing the listing photos again, I noticed that the bust is actually too large on the models. The fabric hangs more loosely on them and they hold their arms down to press the excess fabric to the sides, under their arms. It just needs to be taken in at the bust. For clarity, a friend of mine with a much larger bust and a similar lower-frame did try this. It was too large in the bust on her, by about two to three inches. Feel Of Fabric: The fabric is very nice, soft, but not ultra-soft, and it drapes very well, such that it never scratches. It is very comfortable. Wash-ability: The fabric is washable and can be washed easily. It should be washed inside-out, as should all garments. This is a hand-wash item, due to the embellishments, and it is easy to hand-wash and hang dry, but you can't throw it in the washing machine. Closet-Space: This one takes up a higher than normal amount of hanging space and should not be compressed, because that could cause creases in the fabric. Folding: This dress should not be folded, as it will add creases that would alter the drape of the fabric. Good luck finding the dress that will make you look and feel amazing. ... show more

Comfortable dress with some stretch to it. Material is a little thicker but in a good supportive way. I wanted something a little fancier then the beading that was on there so I replaced it with this appliqué I found on Amazon and sewed it by hand. This dress is so frustrating. It looks fantastic from the hips up. It’s flattering, slimming, shows my shape but still has the girls completely covered. That’s not an easy find, which makes the lower half of the dress so maddening. Other reviewers mentioned the unhemmed edge. I thought, how bad could that be? It’s Awful! Not only is it cut, it is cut badly! Completely unfinished and unacceptable. I’m not sure if I should consult a seamstress to hem the entire thing, more likely I’ll have to return and keep looking.
