I've never liked looking at kitchen towels on the countertop. Most holders are industrial feeling or simply utilitarian. The Alessi holder is easy to use, lightweight and easily cleaned. Coming in several colours, it is stylish whilst functional.

I have many Alessi products at home and most of them are top notch. However, this one is bad design. It is not functional well for everyday use, The vertical bar is not attached to bottom strong enough, so I would not surprise it is broken soon. Also, due to the lack of a blocker bar at the edge, the paper roll keeps unrolling by itself. ... show more

The look on-line is great, the height is not. The roll covers everything but the very top so there is no design showing only the red base and a little of the top. Love the concept but the design for American paper towels doesn't work. Currently using as a t paper holder in my guest bath, holds two rolls without covering the stem entirely.
