I would've liked to give 4 1/2 stars, because the only thing that hasn't lasted is the snugness of the fit. I'm very happy with this mask. I'm a side sleeper that wears a full face CPAP mask and after using another brand with adjustable eye cups, I just couldn't find an adjustment that blocked out the light, but didn't jam the top of my mask into the bridge of my nose. After two months of use, this mask is still blocking the light and doesn't interfere with my mask. However, I've had to tighten it beyond the strap and onto the mask material as it hasn't held it's fit. While the mask material is silky and comfortable on my face, it is like hosiery that gets stretched out. I may have to get a new one every year, but it'll be worth the expense for the comfort and effectiveness it gives. ... show more

I started using an eye mask pretty recently and it significantly helps me fall asleep and stay asleep. I'm sure everyone has trouble sleeping with the temptation of cell phones, and I was no exception. I like these because they help eliminate distractions. They really black out everything! I often go to sleep when the sun is still up because I work early in the morning, and these really help make things very dark. They fall off when I toss and turn in my sleep, but the important part to me is that they help me fall asleep and stay asleep. I also really like how they don't actually touch my eyelids or eyelashes thanks to the padding around them. They're very comfortable and I recommend them to my friends and family. I work night shift and use black out curtains which were fine for awhile. Soon I found that the light that was getting in from around the curtain was making it hard to get to sleep. I would also wake up more frequently to check the time. I got this sleeping mask not feeling very hopeful. I tried sleeping masks a couple times and they always ended up backwards or falling off. I was also worried it would be uncomfortable or too tight. Holy crap I was wrong. I LOVE this mask. The fabric is so soft and I like that it isn’t flat so it doesn’t squish your eyelashes. I sometimes have to put it back on once through the day/night but it typically stays on and it’s not constricting at all. Seriously though, I put this thing on and immediately feel relaxed. If your on the fence, definitely try it. When I misplace this thing I panic because my sleep is so good with it. ... show more

I bought one of these to try in order to limit my dry eye from the fans and AC after having RLE surgery. I have been pleased with how comfortable this is to sleep in. My sleep quality is not great in general so I know this mask has zero affect on my quality of sleep in a good or bad way. Having never slept with a eye mask before (other than the goggles from the doctor), I can say this is pretty comfortable. SO SOFT! And doesn't hurt when sleeping on your side. ... show more

i really like this mask, I've had it for a couple months and I've stuck with it. i toss and turn a lot in my sleep and it's always stayed on my head. my only knock is that i wish it was just a little taller or for the eye cups to be more round; sometimes i wake up and the edge of the eye cup is on my eye because it's slipped a little up or down. I'm an average shaped woman so if you have a larger face the cups may be a little small. otherwise it's great, fully blackout and secure without feeling like your brain is being squeezed ... show more

I really love the softness of this mask. Initially I purchased this mask for meditation but came around to trying it for sleep as well. I can wear it most of the night and be comfortable which was surprising. I have worn it nearly daily for the past 6 weeks since it arrived for an hour or so and maybe used it for a total of 14 nights to sleep in. I was sad to put it on this morning and realize the strap was loose and when I tightened it fully some light was still coming through due to the strap stretching out over this short time. How sad. It is not something I want to replace every 6 weeks. Customer service, can you help me out with this??? The answer to my question was a very quick reply from customer service and once I figured out how to converse with them directly I had a new sleep mask within a day or two. I recently purchased 12 different sleep masks, all with an average review of 4.6 stars or better. This one is the best by far! - It’s the perfect size, most we’re unnecessarily large - Complete darkness even after tossing and turning - Super soft and comfortable - Strap is nearly perfect. Could be a little wider near the ears but does not cut into them like many others. This masks with wider straps were thicker making side sleeping uncomfortably, not so with this mask. I purchased different variants of the Alaska Bear Sleep mask for my wife. She has loved them all. With the Contoured cup she was concerned at first, but really came to like the eye relief it gave. Bc I noted this on the other reviews. I wash these in the sink with cold water and un-scented detergent. I then air dry them.
