The ones on TikTok—I’d like to try, but don’t want to blind buy. Especially since the trending scents are $30-$50. One that someone suggested, for those who like gourmands—is Dalal. I did order that one, but saw this and decided to try this too. The price for both ended up being about $12. I won’t feel bad if I give it away or pitch it. I have not yet received the Dalal, but got this one right away. Yes, it’s very cocoa/chocolate scent. It smelled familiar, I couldn’t put a finger on the scent. Then, I read the reviews and I got it…it reminds me of lip smackers, one of the nut flavored ones I had in the 90’s. Anyway. I tried it alone, I don’t feel like it lasted long. Also the roller ball doesn’t work well. Today I combined it with Good Chemistry’s Coffee Cloud. I like them together! A great layering scent & lasts longer. Looking forward to trying the Dalal scent. smells like palmer’s cocoa butter but just a bit sweeter. everyone was hyping it up like it was something special and the only thing special about it to me is the longevity (which is due to it being an oil). i definitely get compliments but someone told me i smelled like “oil” so take that as you will 🤷🏽. i use this as a base scent and layer other scents with it like rn im using a coconut and vanilla lotion and i use this after i apply the lotion on my pulse points. also smells good with the orange sol de janerio (the original one that is really popular, i haven’t tried it with the other ones). pretty decent for the amount of money i spent but i don’t think ill be repurchasing. ... show more

I'm a sucker for sugary scents & this is heaven. Yes I'm an adult who still wears cupcake & cotton candy perfume. Life is to short to not get the things that make you happy. I don't want to smell fresh, floral, aquatic, or woody (no shade to the ones that do). I want to smell like confection heaven. I needed something new to add to my confection perfume collection & this is a perfect addition. This has a warm cocoa front with light musk hint in the background. You'll smell the chocolate much more over the musk tones. Which is nice as it gives it more depth. Unless others are keen on scents they may not pick up on the musk. The chocolate front reminds me of a warm chocolate cake fresh from the oven. Has that similar scent to Palmers cocoa butter. I like this Choco Musk. I wasn't sure about it when I ordered it, but it came in today and I can't stop smelling my wrists! I'm no perfumist or whatever so I can't tell you this and that about all the notes and at what point they come about, but I can tell you I smell like chocolate and marshmallows and how can that be bad? Usually I'm a little funny about chocolate flavors and scents. The smell and taste of fake chocolate like what's in some candles and say coffee creamers normally bothers me. This oil is not like that at all. It's a very cozy and warm scent. I've gotten some complements already too. I'm looking forward to trying some of the other Al Rehab scents. This was my first. Hopefully they'll prove to be as good as this one! ... show more

When I first opened the package this perfume came in, I could immediately smell the chocolate and thought, "Oh no, I don't want something that only smells like chocolate." I'm going for a more Middle Eastern/South Asian smell. I tried the perfume on immediately to see what it would smell like after awhile. It's been about a half hour and it does smell good, but it's still predominantly a chocolate smell. It also has maybe a little smokiness, which I like. I don't smell musk at all. If it's there, it's very light. I know the perfume has Choco in the name, so what do I expect, right? Lol I thought, since it's middle eastern, it would have other scent profiles as well. Don't get me wrong, I do like it, but it's not an exotic smell, to me. I'll still wear it, I'd definitely say this is a sweet gourmet scent. ... show more

At first I didn’t like it, it reminded me of a cheap 90s chapstick scent. But, I decided to give it a second chance and actually wear it. I paired it with my vanilla bean oil and they actually smell amazing together!! Sweet chocolate & vanilla goodness! Definitely a good value for the price, I put it on at like 11am today and it’s 4pm right now and the scent is still strong so it’s also long lasting!! Listen if you don’t like sweet scents and don’t like smelling like a literal snack then this is not for you, but me oh I’m gonna turn up lol. This smells heavenly and it’s literally oil so it last long, I usually leave my work jacket in the office for the week, once I wear that scent, it’s over my jacket keeps the scent all week until I take home to wash, will be getting the spray soon. This oil is an awesome price point in a land where so many things are over-kill expensive right now. And I love the yummy, gourmand scent. On me it’s more of a hint of cocoa with warm baking vanilla tones— cookieish? but minus the fake butter scent— with very slight musk (I am not a musk fan so that’s fine with me). It’s not overpowering but has good lasting power. Subtle but you can still smell throughout the day. My skin is sensitive and I use as a deodorant under the arms, a small dab each.
