I put this panel up in the hall way leading to my office. I mapped out where the studs were using a stud finder and marked those with a pencil. The holes in the panel match up to the studs which makes mounting a breeze. There were no bolts included in the package so I had to use my own. I mounted and leveled it and put the bins on and started filling them up. They work great and seem very sturdy. ... show more

These are incredibly sturdy and easy to mount - mounting the panels to studs is strongly recommended due to the weight of just the panels, let alone the bins and anything you put in them. Hole spacing from the center to the outside is exactly 16" to match standard US stud spacing, so all you need to do is to find the stud for the center holes, drill/screw one hole, mount and level up, and your spacing will be correct for the other studs. If you take this approach, you'll use the smaller round holes on the edges vs. the larger keyed holes that are spaced around 17" from the center. (Vertical hole spacing is 6"). Obviously, they fit the Akro-Mils bins perfectly - for some other bins I had lying around, not so much, but that depends on the manufacturer as to whether they follow Akro-Mils specs. ... show more

Maybe they they read older reviews, had a lot of returns and beefed up the packaging. Maybe my Amazon delivery team was just really good. Mine arrived in excellent condition. As shown in the photo, the manufacturer has reinforced the edge of the package with about 3" of folded over and ridged cardboard. I had no bent edges or bends in the middle. I got it mounted up in about 5 minutes by setting it on a sideways 2x6 and fastening the top middle screw, then leveling it and filling in most of the rest of the mounting holes. The middle rows of bright blue bins are new Akro units, the rest I've had for many years, but they fit just fine. I am happy with this purchase. This is not a cheap unit, but I don't deduct stars for price. Based on what I estimated I would have to do to manually create metal mounting points for this many bins, it was just much easier to buy and install this unit. 20250801 ETA: I purchased two of the 36-Inch W x 19-Inch H units for additional storage elsewhere. They were shipped via UPS (not Amazon delivery), and both arrived in separate boxes and in excellent shape. Still happy with this item and my deliveries of the product. Will (probably) add pics of those once I get them mounted and arranged. ... show more

It’s made out of heavy duty metal, although one corner was bent when I opened the box. Nothing a pair of lineman’s couldn’t fix. Took me about 30 min to hang both. Each one has 12 bolt holes. I had to use drywall clamps rated for 100lbs each. (I use them to hang TVs) They look great and feel sturdy. I purchased two because some of the reviews said it would only hold 12. I have 24 in that pic with room for a few more. Looks like I’ll have to buy some More containers! Product is great and it’s a good buy for any garage. Will purchase more in the future! ... show more
