I played the saxophone in a band 52 years ago and decided to order this to see if I can still play. Yes, I can, but not as well as I did back then. I need quite a bit of practice to reach the level I was at in the band. I'm amazed at how nice this saxophone is for $359, especially since a high-quality saxophone usually costs a grand or more. The keys have the perfect balance, and I really enjoy how they feel under my fingers. It's well-crafted, and the case is stunning. You can't go wrong with this saxophone, especially with such a great quality case. This is a fantastic option for beginners. I'm thrilled to own this and to have a second chance to create some music.–

I ordered this alto saxophone to replace the one I’ve been playing since fifth grade, and overall, I think it’s a solid instrument for the price. The saxophone arrived well packaged, and the case it comes with is practical. It’s a faux-leather soft case that can be worn like a backpack, which makes transporting it much easier. The interior is molded and lined, holding the sax and its components securely. The instrument itself has a matte black finish that looks clean and modern, much different than the bright brass colors we were playing when we were kids. The coating appears even, and the overall construction feels sturdy. The keys are smooth to use, and the layout is comfortable, making it easy to transition onto this sax from my previous one. It also came with reeds and a neck strap, so it was ready to play right away. In terms of sound, the saxophone has a warm and consistent tone. It responds well, and the intonation seems reliable across registers. While tone can be subjective, I found it performs extremely well for an instrument in this price range and does what it needs to do without requiring much adjustment. Comfort wise, the sax is easy to play. The ergonomics feel natural, and it doesn’t require excessive effort to get a clear sound. The matte texture also gives it a slightly different feel in the hands compared to a glossy finish, which some players may prefer. This alto saxophone offers good value. The finish, the included accessories, the backpack-style case, and the comfortable playability make it a practical choice for someone looking for a reliable instrument without spending a premium.
