Having been playing the Native American wooden style flutes for a couple years, I have been interested in learning the standard metal concert style flute. It’s awesome that there are such affordable options for acquiring a good instrument to learn on. I have just started to learn the method for playing it, and the involved fingering placement for all the different keys. I will say it is much more involved than learning the Native American flute that only has five to six holes for finger placement. There are so many finger pads/keys, levers and different finger placements for different sound options. This is a very nice beginners flute, and it comes with everything required to get up and learn the concert style flute. Obviously, budget instruments will not be as high quality as compared to a much more expensive concert flute. However, for learning and getting into a new instrument it makes sense to get started with a more inexpensive instrument, and then upgrade once skills have advanced. This flute comes with everything needed to get playing the flute. I ordered the nickel-silver colored flute, but must say that I like the look of the antique bronze option that is offered as well. This is a fantastic flute for a beginner like myself. I’m having fun picking it up periodically when inspiration hits, and I’m starting to improve with it. At first I did not even know how to properly hold it as there really is a lot going on with all the finger pads, levers, etc. I have watched a few good YouTube tutorials that have been key to getting going with this intricate instrument. If you’re looking to get your first concert flute this is a fantastic option!

I am completely astonished by this flute, I had tried other less expensiveinstruments and they all had flaws, keys not sealing properly, badly synced, unable to play low notes etc. This is the first time that one of these instruments has been fully functional out of the box! Low C plays wonderfully, all notes sound as they should! I may have gotten lucky. Could perfectly be a learners instrument. The meh: Obviously this doesn't sound like a 6000 usd flute, and intonation is a bit off especially on higher notes, but that is to be expected for the price. The flute joints are extremely tight, add to that the fact that this coating seems a bit fragile, and you will probably lose bits of plating around the joints
