  • Tremendous value on a budget.
Color: Orange
For the money, it is a great deal, however you'll want to spend some time or money on a proper setup. All I did was loosen the strings, checked the frets with a fret rocker, tapped about a dozen of them gently with a tiny rubber mallet, and it plays better than one of my much more expensive Squires. The pickups are lower output, but clean and clear with crisp mids and treble, for a beginner, that's perfect. I own two Aklot guitars now and both of them are very surprising, punching well above their weight in terms of value per cost. Other than some highish frets, the fretwork is great, the neck is smooth. Some of the adjustments you might make are usually due to being built in a different climate with different humidity and temperature. I haven't needed to do any filing, buffing or polishing. I planned on swapping the pickguard and the electronics, but when it came it was beautiful, much better than the photos. I may keep it stock for a while. It came with roller string trees installed and a coil split for the humbucker, which is a great feature for a Strat style guitar. The output jack is nice and firm. The intonation was about 95% perfect, only some tiny adjustments on the D string bridge screw and it's wonderful. Get some fretboard oil, a tiny rubber mallet, and a fret rocker. There are great resources online to guide you through a setup. You should always expect to do some work on any new guitar, even very expensive guitars. This was one of the easiest new guitar setups I've ever done. For the cost, It's fantastic. I don't think there's anything better at this price point. 10/10 would buy again, and I might. ... show more

  • Amazing!!
Color: Sunburst
My son and his instructor love this setup. It is an amazing, beautiful sound. They love the amp. It's an amazing beginner's set, with easy tunability. One recommendation is having a pamphlet showing how to use the tuner for people who don't have an instructor, or a card with a YouTube link. The color ROCKS, it's stunning. Only recommendation is hopefully having the amp plug in on the edge of the guitar instead of the front ( I'm sure you have your reasons). We do love it, a lot. We were hoping to meet you all with a link to YouTube videos and have a couple of beginner videos or explain how / why you decided to get into designing guitars. Overall we are beyond happy with our purchase and look forward to doing more business with you ... show more

  • This is a great guitar
Color: Black
I bought this as a starter guitar for a teenage relative and oh boy, I was not disappointed. This guitar was almost perfect from the factory. I own many expensive name brand guitars and this one doesn't miss the mark by much and for such a low price. All I did was lower the action a bit and replace the set screws in the bridge with shorter ones (m3x8) as the current ones stick up when the action is lowered. If I were keeping it for me, I would replace the tuners as well, but the ones it comes with work just fine. The pickups sound good and the fret work was almost perfect. Such a great value here. ... show more

  • Great after a fret level, setup, and neck shim.
Color: Orange
This guitar is great but only after I put a lot of work into it. I work on guitars as a hobby and that made this guitar worth it. Mine had high action, frets were not level, saddles were way off on each string, and a few frets were turning green as they often do from overseas. Fret ends were decent as is. So here is what I did to it to make it awesome. I had to level the entire fretboard. Crown all frets, polished all frets, rounded the fret ends a little more, put a shim in the neck pocket, and adjusted every tremelo saddle as they were way off. I cleaned and oiled the fretboard, put on new strings, and did a proper intonation and action adjustment. After all that the guitar is absolutely killer for the money. Pickups sound decent, everything works, the tuners feel really good actually. Tremelo is cheap but works OK. However the whammy bar hangs loose and has play. Another half turn and its too tight to go any further. It also has a plastic nut. I was hoping for bone but thats an easy upgrade. And the glow in the dark fret Inlays are a nice touch. The wood of the fretboard is also very nice. Makes it feel like a quality instrument. Since I can do my own work I would absolutely buy one again. This thing is really sweet. Great platform for upgrades also. The other accessories and bag are also great. Overall a good deal if you can get a setup. ... show more

  • Best budget strat for under $400
Color: Black2
Solid 5 stars. Bought this as an experienced player because I wanted a coil tappable HSS strat without spending much, this definitely delivers Setup came decent right out of the box, I managed to get the action lower so now it really snaps and does my 80’s tone very well. Fret ends were good, no sharpness or anything of that matter. Polished them up and oiled the fretboard because it did look a bit dry and the color darkened tremendously. The color of the body is pretty cool. I got the trans black variant, and it’s good for its price range. All the extras are cool but I have no use for them so I’ll be giving them away. All in all a very solid guitar right out of the box. Definitely a worthy competitor to guitars over double its price range. ... show more

  • Worth It!
Color: Blue
Looks fantastic. Sounds even better! Has great tone control as well! I got this guitar specifically due to the one I had prior having tuning issues. This one has been much better in that regard (so far). I will update if anything changes. As of now, fantastic guitar!

  • Great guitar for the price
Color: Sunburst
This is one of the best strat copies out there. Needed just a little setup and ready to go. I see bright things for this company.

  • Looks amazing
Color: Black2
Was very impressed by how the guitar looked and felt. Not a single scratch on it. My very first electric guitar and it has everything for a beginner. Only complaint I have is that it doesn't hold the tune for very long right out the box which is a little bit frustrating. Still a great buy.
