    • Good screen for the money, can be improved with additional add ons.
I bought this screen knowing that I wanted a bigger size but I didn't have $1000s to spend. When I first got it, it came with an Elite screens remote. This clue helped me a lot as I fought to get it dialed in just right. I use a harmony hub for my system and it could not control the screen natively because it does not support RF remotes. I was able to find an IR adapter made for Elite Screens that I was able to plug into the ethernet port on the screen and control via IR on the Harmony hub. The screen dropped down way too far. Looking at the manual and articles online it said that it could not be adjusted. Screen looks great and works well. Super easy to install, and a good length cord for reaching outlets. Something to note for any new buyers. The screen motor needs to home to close properly. If you put it down and stop it before it gets to the end, it won't close all the way. Make sure you open it all the way first and then close it. It'll be perfectly flush every time. The media could not be loaded. We've had this set up for about three weeks now. It works great and I have almost no complaints except one. When you don't put the screen down all the way and go to put it back up it leaves a little hanging and doesn't fully go back into the housing. We did that several times over the course of a few minutes and it was getting an inch or so longer every time. After reading reviews we noticed people said to fully drop it down which we did, then put it back up, problem solved. It's also worth mentioning that you can set this screen to whatever you would like. There is a stop button to stop it from extending all the way if you prefer. Quality is great so far. There is no light that sneaks through whatsoever. We didn't notice any odor from ours at all. It is on the heavy side so definitely be sure to find the studs. ... show more

Very impressive. Smooth operation. Simple remote , up is up, down is down, center botton is stop. Screen is a light silver color and brings out the best of your projector. We are using a BenQ TM8000m with a 4K Fire stick. Wow!!! YouTube 4K videos ( app is on Fire Stick) are so realistic. Travel videos from all over the world are absolutely stunning. So clear and focused. Projector is ceiling mounted, square with screen, level, and proper lens offset to top of screen. Go to BenQ website for mounting details. Well worth the effort. Shipping. Concerned about damage as some had issues. The box is 10 feet long! It is double boxed and screen has a few Styrofoam donuts around it to help protect it. DO NOT ACCEPT ITEM if outside is bent or damaged. The manufacture ships a great product. but the trucking company could accidentally damage it. Pilot Freight Services shipped mine and they were fantastic !!!! I had tools to open box when it arrived. Felix the driver, encouraged me to check it. PERFECT !!!! Very happy with this purchase. I use this screen for evening/night projection in a room that gets a lot of sun, so it's always retracted when not in use. It was easy to unpackage and hang. The motor is quiet and thus far reliable. The screen itself is of acceptable quality for most home applications, especially at the price point. It is a bit flimsy and plasticky, but it's what I expected. I did have one issue right after hanging and plugging in the unit that warrants a word of caution. The end of the screen shifted within the housing a bit in transit, and the left end of the weight bar was caught inside the housing. I didn't notice it until I started trying to lower the screen the first time. The right side of the screen started coming down, but the left side didn't because it was stuck. I stopped the motor with the remote, but then made an additional mistake of trying to retract it to see if it would right itself. It only twisted and creased the screen material. I manually got it unstuck, and it now works flawlessly, but I now have permanent distortion in that part of the screen. The photo is after trying to correct with heat/hanging/etc. Doesn't affect image quality significantly, but it's a permanent blemish. Even if Akia offered to replace it (I didn't reach out to them to ask), it would be way more hassle to box the thing back up. Ultimately I kinda chalked this problem up to a user accident, and I still give the product a 5-star review overall. Make sure ends of your screen are free before dropping it the first time! ... show more

I liked this screen when I first got it but the remote stopped working and I have attempted to reach customer service to try to purchase a replacement but unable to get in touch with anyone!! I’ve sent 4 emails with no response. Otherwise, the now useless screen is great. Wishing there was a way to roll it out and in without the need for a remote. ... show more

The projector screen arrived undamaged, and I love everything about it, except for the remote. You need to find a way to protect the remote better for shipping. The box arrived damaged, so I don't know what it went through, before it arrived at my door, but the screen itself wasn't damaged. The remote got a little crushed. It still works, just busted at the top. Overall, I love this product! Picture quality, 3D effects, it's amazing! The things that really count, I'm completely satisfied. I would've been happier if the remote wasn't busted, but it still works, so I'll leave well enough alone. ... show more
