I recently picked up the ARTME 42 Colors airbrush paint set, and its pretty great. The variety of colors is incredible—42 shades, including metallics and neons—that allows for so much creativity. Each color is opaque and ready to spray, which is super convenient because I hate having to mix paints before I even start. The three thinners included in the set are a nice touch too. They help you get the consistency just right, whether you’re working on metal, models, plastic, or even canvas and wood. I especially love using the metallics for some of my models; they give that extra pop without needing any complicated techniques. Honestly, I find the paint to be user-friendly, and cleaning up afterward is a breeze. I’m new to airbrushing, and just received my first airbrush gun a few weeks ago. I don't have a lot of experience with it, or with paints geared specifically towards airbrushing. So this kit is my very first experience with airbrush specific paint. This kit has all the colors a beginner could possibly need, and I think it's priced fairly given the quantity of colors and the additional paint thinning liquid that comes with it. That said, although the paints are very fluid, and thinning liquid is included, I couldn't get these paints to flow from my airbrush gun until I mixed one part paint to three parts water. The airbrush gun I have is not high end at all, but there are also no guidelines included in the kit that explain the best ratio of paint to thinner, or paint to water, for most airbrush guns. I had to do a fair amount of trial and error, as well as declogging my gun to figure out that I just needed to use water and a lot of it. Fortunately, these paints are highly pigmented so even adding this much water, the paint was still very vibrant once sprayed onto the brasswood canvas I was trying it out on. As for the thinner, which was still too thick in my case, it's odor free and not a traditional, noxious paint thinner. So, if you are worried about fumes, you should not be. Neither the paint, nor the thinner has an odor. All in all, I am happy with this kit, and I think it's a good option if you’re in need of a variety of colors, and have a better airbrush gun than I do.

I grabbed this set because I wanted to try airbrushing without messing around with a bunch of thinning or mixing. These paints are actually ready to spray right out of the bottle, which made the whole process feel way less intimidating. I still added a drop or two of thinner for the metallics and neons, but for the most part, they flowed well straight into my airbrush without clogging. Colors are solid—lots of variety and they’re pretty vibrant once they’re down. The metallics are especially nice on models. Haven’t noticed any fading or cracking after drying, and they seem to stick to a bunch of surfaces (I’ve tried canvas, primed wood, and plastic so far). Quick tip: shake the bottles really well. There’s definitely some settling, but once mixed, the texture is smooth. Also, for anyone new to airbrushing—just know that even with great paint like this, airbrushing has a learning curve. My first few sessions looked rough, and I almost blamed the paint, but nah… it’s just practice. Once I got the hang of trigger control and airflow, these paints performed really consistently. Anyway, I’m running out the door but bottom line: great kit if you’re starting out or want a big color range without extra setup. Would buy again when I run low.

It has been decades since I last worked with an airbrush, so I count myself as a beginner once again. I have a small and inexpensive airbrush, and these paints work well with it. I did have to experiment a bit with how much of the included thinner to add to the paints to achieve the best quality spray and flow, but I would expect that with any paint set. What really impressed me with this set is the range and selection of colors, including fluorescents and metallics. The 29 colors make it easy to achieve the colors I want with at most a minimum of mixing. The colors themselves are vibrant and have good coverage even after a bit of thinning. They dried quickly and I did not experience dripping. This is a good value and a great set for getting started back into airbrushing.

Wow, a terrific and affordable set of airbrush paints. A set of 42 premium colors and three extra bottles of thinner to use with all standard airbrushes. These have worked great on my tabletop minis. I love the selection of colors I don't have to blend my own I now have 42 separate colors to choose from. And simply by adding thinner I can adjust the shade of each color to increase the amount of color choices. Very nice 20 ml dropper bottles, with secure tops that haven't even leaked once. I really appreciate having proper fitting tops to prevent leaking paint. The colors are all very vivid when sprayed. Depending on how many coats and how thin your paint is you're working with you can achieve any result you desire. These these paints offer great coverage on the minis I've painted so far. And now that I have this set I have enough paint to finish my entire collection of minis. Artme released another winner in the set of airbrush paints. I have purchased their other supplies before and they've always been great quality at an affordable price.
