Purchased this for cookie stencil decorating on royal icing. I didn’t want to spend much incase I wasn’t good at the techniques. I practiced on paper first after watching some cookie tutorials. It worked well when I figured out the trigger mechanism. Make sure you clean the entire airbrush in between colors and uses. The enclosed directions are not very technical. It took me a couple of times cleaning to realize the part where the paint come out actually unscrews to clean that part as well. Once I cleaned it throughly it worked well between uses and color changes. It also doesn’t come with an outlet adapter bit l used an old i-phone one that worked. It looks awfull if you don't get the right shade and doesn't blend under the eyes well. It gets clogged easy if it's not water based. Have to clean it after every use and the parts of nozzle are very small and easy to use

If you are using acetone w/gel polish please use very little, like barely. Also wear a mask like the plastic ones especially if you are using a good amount of gel mix with acetone, either way wear a mask and make sure you have a air purifier/and ventilation

I've been interested in airbrush makeup for a while. I have several important events coming up, so I decided to try this; the price was certainly right. It took me a long time to figure out how to make the unit work. I could get the air to come out, but not the liquid. After watching some videos, I found that you have to loosen the screw on top to get the liquid to flow, and you have to push the button down and back. I then had to find the right mixture of makeup. I tried watering down makeup I already had, but the consistency wasn't right. I finally found some serum that works. In order to get the makeup to flow properly, I have to hold the unit up high and almost horizontally. But once I figured this out, it worked pretty well. I don't know how this unit compares to other, more expensive ones, but it does seem to provide fairly even coverage with a rather thin layer of makeup.
