I am a professional painter, so I’ve applied paint in a variety of ways from brushing to rolling to spraying. I was recently hired to repaint a few areas in the children’s area of our local library. As I was preparing to repaint this “cannonball hole in a pirate ship” spot, I was brainstorming ways to recreate the look without bringing my big paint sprayer into the library. I looked on Amazon and found this airbrush sprayer option. It was only $50, so I figured if it didn’t work well I wasn’t out much money and I could always return it if I didn’t use it. I had never used an airbrush sprayer before, so I glanced at the directions and filled the tank with water to see if/how it worked. Everything seemed to be working fine with the water, so I took it to the library to see what it could do with paint. Within the first 5 mins of using it I was already thinking of other projects I could use it on. It was so easy to use for a first-timer and it worked perfectly! I wouldn’t use it on larger jobs—it really puts out a fine mist of paint and would take too long to do big jobs. But for little projects like this or small craft projects (or maybe even makeup application?) this thing is awesome. The head honchos at the library AND another painting crew that was in there watching me work also mentioned wanting to buy one after seeing how well it worked and hearing how inexpensive it was. It feels heavy/well-made. It feels like it’ll last a while. It’s not a cheap, light-weight piece of cr@p that you fear to receive nowadays. I’d recommend this product all day long.

I recently picked up this airbrush kit for my art projects, and it's been a real gem, especially for someone like me who's new to airbrushing. THIS REVIEW IS SPONSORED I originally purchased this airbrush after watching a review for it on YouTube. Since ordering, it's become the work horse for most every miniature project I do. Due to its portable nature, I can (and have) painted outside without any issues. The battery has a relatively long life of about an hour, which is typically more than I need to prime and base-coat most any sized squad. Another thing that I love is the swappable cup sizes. The cup is screwed into the top, allowing you to change into the other two provided, larger sizes to hold more paint or primer. Because the cup is removable, it also allows for you to clean the base of the housing, where the paint sits, easier. My main concern when buying this was how long the battery would last. However, after about six months of use, the battery hasn't had any noticeable drops in capacity. The only downside to this machine is its inability to natively change the PSI it's shooting at. While this isn't a downside to me, as the 32 PSI it sprays at is perfect for the kind of Warhammer painting I do, it would be nice to have the option. with that said, I believe attachments can be added to the nozzle in order to alleviate this problem. Overall, it's a good, entry-to-intermediate grade airbrush that will help expedite your painting process, and give you amazingly thin base coats to work up from.

I purchased this airbrush to learn how to airbrush my radio control airplanes and jets. The setup is handy for learning and small jobs since the compressor run time is typically 1hr. This time is actually longer since the compressor does not need to run nonstop, just enough to maintain 32psi while spraying. My first use was to fixup an Ace All Star Bi-Plane that I bought at an swap meet. It was an flamingo pink color that I didn't care for so I mixed up some fluorescent magenta, a drop of blue, and a drop of gray on top of the pink that was there and got the color you see in the photo. This was my first airbrush attempt and the airbrush worked well. My next project was fixing the paint on the nose and cockpit battery cover on my Dragonfly Seaplane. I used a little too much airbrush thinner on this one so I got a litle bleed through the card I was using to mask while I painted but overall I am still happy with the results. The plane was actually beat up pretty bad... The Australian Royal Airforce Panther I bought a swap meet for $35.00, I installed a 3s/4s 4 amp ESC, repaired the EDF duct, installed a AR631+ receiver and if the maiden goes well I plan on cleaning up the glue seams where the previous owner repaired it, reffinish the paint job, and give it a clear gloss foam coat. I'll add the photo when it's done. The weather is pretty crappy so I don't expect to maiden the jet until late March. Those of you who fly r/c models you probably know how well the Arrows Bigfoor flies but the stickers are like tissue paper and break down just from your sweat when removing the battery hatch and the black window canopy cover looses paint.. well here's a photo of my six year old Arrows Bigfoot. I just touched it up and applied two coats of matte foam sealer. They get $299.00 for this model now. I am not sure why. I paid $185 back in 2019 for it. Now it's time to update the landing gear with spring shock absorbers. I'll put my Dremel Workstation to use o build that. If you have small projects where you don't expect to be painting for more then 1.5hrs this airbrush is prefect. It's easy to clean in between colors just make sure you have a water squeeze bottle, airbrush cleaner, and plenty of water to flush it out. If you want to get into airbrushing but put it off because of the expense of a compressor, I recommend getting this one. At this price point it's worth it. I'd give this airbrush 5 stars but my Ace Allstar BiPlane refinishing needed more than just a 1.5hr run time. I had to charge in between applying my custom overlay color and fixing the black, yellow, and silver stripes. It was still worth it though.

I have been holding off buying a air brush for my project for quite some time mainly due to not wanting to deal with handling of a bulky air compressor, then came along this product which I saw on Amazon one day while browsing. It immediately grab my attention because it has a rechargeable air compressor already build into a single package. Looking at the phot and pricing, I immediately ordered it, but didn't expect much due to the very reasonable price, I figured if it didn't work I wouldn't care much. The day I received it, I was pleasantly surprised! The build quality was fantastic, the fit and finish is beyond my expectation, not to mention it works flawlessly and very convenient to handle and move around due to its very compact size. The rechargeable battery last a long time, I have yet depleted the battery for the project I have done, All in all, it's a product that well designed and worth the price of purchase.

I'm new to airbrushes, and have been putting off getting one because I was afraid of spending money on something that would break or I wouldn't be able to figure out. This airbrush was a pleasant combination of affordable, easy to use, and (so far at least) works like a charm! Set-up: I was pretty much able to use it instantly: I took it out, charged it, and then put it all together - the parts are pretty intuitive, so even though there isn't much by way of instructions in the kit itself, the video on Amazon's page were more than enough to help me understand all the parts to set it up. I like how straightforward this is for a beginner like me. I did get confused for a moment when I turned on the air-compressor and it made noise for a second... and then stopped. I thought it was broken! But nope, I just forgot that this was the battery-saving version, where the air-compressor only turns on when you have the airbrush in use. So if you push the "on" button and nothing seems to happen, depress and pull back on the air-brush's trigger - and it should start up again! Once I knew that, I was confidant that I had it all assembled correctly and everything was working as intended. Use: I'm using basic acrylic paints + water to thin them out, although I might switch over to mini-paints - as those are already much thinner. It did take me a bit to get the ratio I wanted, as I needed something thin enough to go through the airbrush but also not just spit out tinted water. I did test out some airbrush thinner medium that I picked up from Hobby Lobby, but honestly the results of that vs just water were the same. I did struggle just a bit with adjusting the spray nozzle. You're supposed to be able to adjust the output by screwing or unscrewing the silver knob at the back, but I couldn't tell that it made much difference - admittedly, though, I didn't try very long, because I was already more than happy with what was coming out! I was getting a spray radius of about a pea-size when up-close, and then obviously larger radiuses as I pulled away. I also got pretty decent coverage when I had the trigger pulled back all the way, although I can understand how going over surfaces multiple times is sometimes needed. (This isn't a paint-brush where you can just instantly get 100% opacity in one stroke, but it's still pretty fantastic.) Cleaning: Again, thanks to the video included on the item's sale page here, cleaning was very straight forward. I've heard that clogging due to poor maintenance is the #1 killer for airbrushes, and was so scared about that - I used the back-flow feature liberally with clean water to wash this out. Then I followed the video and took it apart. Unscrewing the inner piece to get the... the needle-thing on the inside... sorry, I don't know the terminology!... got me stuck for a moment, but that was because I was trying to unscrew the wrong thing. So I went back to the video and tried again - and also used a bit more force, as it was screwed in pretty tightly. Once I'd loosened off that fixture, the metal needle part came out and I was able to give it a good clean. I could see instantly that this NEEDED to be done, as the paint was pretty visible on the needle. After that, it was pretty easy to use the included brushes and such to clean it out and put the airbrush back together again. I'll update if I try it again and learn anything new, or if any issues arise with future uses! So far so good, though! Update 1 (still good!): I used it for a second time and panicked when at first it wouldn't work - air came out, but no paint!! BUT then I took it apart and cleaned the needle, which had some paint on it from before (I was sure I'd cleaned it thoroughly, but apparently I'm not as thorough as I thought). And that was all it took! Once I'd cleaned it up, everything worked fabulously again. So still full marks for this product!

Original Review (7/17/22): I tried and tried with this thing. Over the past few months I've given this session after session. I could never get it to satisfactorily work. It would blow paint, but just barely and would yield barely any coverage. After googling and working every solution possible it would give a tantalizing 5 minutes of near expected performance. But, then stop. I'd give up. And try again. And again. And again. This last session, was literally the last session. The compressor started grinding and would not stop running. Eventually it shook the casing apart fully. Needless to say, it's no longer blowing air and has become a paperweight. Not recommended. Update (8/28/22): The seller reached out and offered to send me a new unit. I watched all of their suggested videos before giving it a go. Upon testing the new airbrush, I was blown away. It worked flawlessly. In comparison to the original brush, it was a night and day difference. I had a good long session with multiple paint changes and no problems. I did all of the cleaning as suggested following the session. However, I didn't want to review after a single session Coming back to the brush to paint again, I found that the results were less than perfect. This time around, the brush was barely putting out any paint. I checked all the adjustments and the compressor was at full battery. However, it was not giving good coverage at all. I disassembled and fully cleaned the brush to be sure, but afterward I found the same problem. The spray pattern is tight and it takes a ton of slow passes to get any coverage. The airbrush works, but it's a bit of a pain to do anything besides the tiniest of pieces. I will attempt another session in the near future and see if I can get better results out of it. I will update if I am able to get any significant performance difference.

This is a competent little machine that at the very least will be the stepping stone to a full setup. The pump is enough to get an even coat and with maybe a few more layers than normal you can get a nice result. It was easy to clean after each use and still works well after many uses. If you want to try out airbrushing, or you need to use it for a specific project, this is a great addition to your toolset. I mostly used it on 3d printed models after sanding, so this review comes from that pov.
