Overall, it's a great cable. For a teen, could get annoying. They love the length, which was the purpose of finding a long cable, but if not properly wrapped, it could get annoying. I'm not sure how the cable got bent like that, but I'm assuming from not unwinding it properly. It still works, had it for 5 months. The color was a hit. The charging cable has two different styles of plugs. One is more flat and the other is your traditional usb-c plug. We thought this one would be better since that is how the previous cables get broken, by putting pressure on the plug while charging. So the flat plug is a win.
