Ad says "Melt temp: 446, as our 3/8 braided wire loom are made with abrasion and flame resistant material." I'm giving it a 3 because it is definitely not flame resistant and it is technique sensitive. I got this for cleaning up my engine compartment and this stuff will melt if you put your heat gun too close for too long. You have to hold the heat gun far enough away while moving it back and forth so the loom doesn't melt and still heat up the shrink tubing. This will take some practice. As for the fraying, you can either put tape or shrink tubing on the end of the loom until your finished working with it. Cut it long and then you can snip off the frayed end close to connector and then tape or shrink tube it. I used it under my hot rod and it worked fine. ... show more

Works well. Expanded quite a bit so I could harness a bunch of different dissimilar wires in one run. However.... when you cut it to length, it starts fraying like crazy, and the fraying is hard to manage. I recommend you get some heat shrinkable tubing and put it over the sleeving prior to cutting it. Once the cut is made, shrink the heat shrink down. ... show more

I bought the 1/2 inch. This means that, laying flat, the sleeve is 1/2 inch across. The actual, un-stretched diameter of the sleeve is closer to 1/4 inch. It's a good product, but you should order a larger size than you believe you need.

I did not use this item.. I did see it. It came on a roll.. Unfortunately, It was not what I thought it was.. I wanted something to use over my oxygen tubing.. and I just assumed it would work.. So not products fault.. From what I seen, it was made very well and comes at a good value. Even tho it did not work for what I needed I would highly recommend this product... Also, I had no issues returning and getting a refund.. Good Company... ... show more
