These are pretty well made painted real wood brackets that include clear instructions and assembly and mounting hardware. They feature a layer of padding on the tops of the arms which is a nice touch and reduces the chance of damage to whatever you choose to store or display on them. The assembly is pretty intuitive and easy (though the “do not over-tighten” warning in the instructions is a little concerning…these are machine threaded nuts embedded in wood and the heads of the hex-head screws that screw into them are also tightening against wood and wood is soft, so what constitutes “tight enough” but not “over-tightened” gets a little murky and subjective…unless you’re just not confident in the quality of your product?). Anyway, the ones I received assembled fine and they’re very easy to mount (especially since you can space each of them according to stud placement and get them well-secured…and I definitely wouldn’t trust the included plastic expansion anchors in nothing but drywall, FYI). If securely mounted, these are pretty versatile and well designed mounting/display brackets for surfboards or other relatively lightweight items that you want to keep free from scratches/damage.

The AF28 Surfboard Wall Mount appears to be well built with a nice finish. My only complaint is that the padding has lifted away from the wood on one of the inside bends. It appears that the foam tape was stretched a little too tight during construction causing it to lift away from the wood over time. A great looking way to display your favorite stick!

The surfboard rack turned out awesome. Just what I was looking for. It’s nice quality wood, everything is pre-drilled and ready to put together with the included hardware. Assembly was simple, I just had to find wall studs. I have this one of the screws stripped out pretty quickly, they probably aren’t the most quality, but the other three worked fine. Very happy with the finished result.

These wall mounting brackets are attractive and well made. The wood is nicely shaped and sanded, and the varnish over them is evenly applied. There's a thin strip of rubber-like material to protect the object when it's held by the arms. This rubber is fine for a surfboard or something similar, but if you need to provide more protection, it would be easy to add additional protecting using double-sided foam tape or something similar. I plan to use these brackets to mount my stand up paddleboard in the garage so I don't have to deflate and re-inflate it every time. (I measured the brackets, and the paddleboard will fit perfectly.) I could see hanging other things as well. These brackets are so much nicer-looking than the rubber-over-metal brackets you buy at the big box stores. So if you're looking for a functional and decorative solution for hanging something, these brackets will do the job nicely.

In all transparency, I have not installed this rack yet. We are in the middle of a remodel and I ordered this to hang a surfboard on the wall once we are done. The display came nicely packaged and is really well designed. The wood matches our setup well and will no-doubt hold a surfboard if mounted properly to the wall. Looking forward to finishing up our project and installing this great display!

Quality of these is great! Even tone and color, smooth, and more than sturdy enough for the weight I have on them. Install in a few minutes. Grip is enough to keep objects in place across posts. The thing is. These could be used for tons of other purposes. They look great and I don't think many brackets you can buy premade look this nice. You COULD cut your own for cheaper, but after you factor in labor I don't see you beating these for looks or cost. Though I think custom would be capable to hold more weight easily.

These racks (racks? are they racks? mount thingies?) are great. First and most important: they're high quality and made of a single piece of wood (each) ~ this means there are no joints that will fall apart like on lower quality mounts (maybe they're mounts?). Each thing has a depressed area that is padded to keep your board nice and safe. Also, these things could come in handy for a lot of different use cases. Probably holding or hanging stuff. Something in that milieu.
