Saxophone the metal portion does not fit our specific model of baritone saxophone. The sleeve still fits the plastic casing on the original thumb rest. Comfortable and sift leather.

Does not fit on a Selmer Mark VI, and also does not fit a modern Taiwanese saxophone. What DOES this thing work with??? They need to state which very specific saxophone this is compatible with (probably only one very obscure brand but who the hell knows), the two listed above are VERY common pro horn standards, it's incredibly dumb that this is incompatible with these. What I did do is use the leather wrap and just placed it on my existing thumb rest, but it might slip off because there is no metal "lip" on a stock thumb rest. Time will tell.

I help out with a local high school with repairing instruments and other duties. I saw this thumb rest and wanted to give it a try with one of the students who was struggling with holding the sax for long periods of time in the marching band. The thumb rest did not fit perfectly as I would have liked, but after a few modifications, it was able to be attached and used without a problem. The students was more than happy to use the thumb rest and reported it as a big help while playing in the marching band. The 3-star rating was because I had to do some modifications instead of screwing it on right out of the box.

This leather pad thumb rest offers comfort, making long practice sessions or performance more manageable, non-slip design makes that the thumb stays in place while playing, my son said this is a very useful accessory for saxophonists looking for comfort and better ergonomics during long playing sessions .

This thumb rest is much more comfortable than the original one on my saxophone. The screw fitment is fine. However, it's a little too long and tall for my sax.
