Not a winter robe - because it is a light and flowing material. However it is very soft to the skin, the red is beautifully bright, and it feel luxury. Seems to be a good quality garment as well. Very happy with this purchase.

I usually wear a flannel robe for comfort and warmth, but we travel internationally and the weight limits for luggage can cause problems. This robe weighs 1/3 as much as my flannel one, and packs easily in a small footprint. That being said, I'm not crazy about the polyester - it's not particularly warm - and it slips regularly if you are moving around. The fabric could be of better quality, but I believe that would increase the weight. Overall, it works when I travel and the fit is pretty good, and will wrap around my medium sized frame. It's very cheaply made; lighter weight than I expected. It fits ok, but the belt loops are rather high, meaning that if you use the belt you cannot access the pockets, which are pulled up over the belt-line. I got a medium and this fits like a small.
