Surprisingly easy to put together. Very sturdy and structurally strong and stable. I have it holding a microwave and a separate convection oven, and a large Excalibir dehydrator on top. The shelves are adjustable in height, so you can customize the rack for what you are putting on it. I like that it has a side rack for holding cutting boards, plus a towel rack, plus two sizes (8 each!) of hooks for holding additional objects. It is so convenient to have things handy. I added a magnetic paper towel rack to the side also. I definitely recommend this rack for any kitchen! It certainly cleared up a lot of counter space and looks great, while making appliances more convenient to use.

I had been stacking my large convection toaster oven on top of my huge old microwave for years and years, and it worked fine. But when my microwave died and we got a smaller one, we needed to reverse: microwave on top of toaster oven. The problem is that the toaster oven expels a tremendous amount of heat. No bueno to have an appliance with plastic components on it. It's usually so creepy when Amazon starts showing me ads for things I've discussed verbally, but in this instance, it paid off for them, because it got me searching, and I finally decided on this stand. I'd carefully measured my appliances to determine the space, including clearance, needed, and this fit the bill. I've got the toaster oven on the bottom. I've arranged the lower shelf (the middle "layer") high enough to allow the free flow of air and prevent the shelf above the toaster oven from heating up, and the microwave is situated there. I have my cereal bins and soda can dispenser on the top shelf, a perfect fit. The stand is quite sturdy, even extended to accommodate my very large toaster oven. It's extended aaalmost to the maximum width and it doesn't compromise the integrity. My microwave is fairly light weight, but I feel confident the shelves would easily hold much heavier appliances. The microwave's light weight causes my one complaint: it slid around on the smooth shelf surface every time I opened or closed the door. A problem easily solved by laying down a layer of rubberized shelf liner, but if the shelf surfaces were textured, this product would be even better. The sides of the unit are covered with metal panels that hold various hooks for towels, utensils, a cutting board rack, etc. I don't need any of that, but it's there. The smaller of the two sizes of plastic hooks are really scrawny. My jacket caught one as I rushed past and snapped it right off. Bottom line: I love this stand.
