I did not mind that this item came in pieces. It was super easy and super fast to put together. The directions were clear but frankly it was simple construction. It is solid and even when tall pillar candles are put on it, it does not become top heavy. It is well weighted on the bottom and even comes with small pads to put underneath to keep it stable and won't scratch any counter surface it is set on. I deducted one star because I thought the packaging could have been better. There is a pretty big knick on one of the posts (which I can easily color in with a Sharpie) probably from rattling against other items in the box. I also noticed some rusting on some of the ends of the posts which could easily be address by putting some moisture absorbing packets in the package which would help keep humidity/moisture/rust away. Otherwise, It is a great stand and will be fun to play with to make arrangements on a table!

I didn't realize this came unassembled. screw in the stems, then screw on the tops. it was a surprised, but not a big deal. I do like that it came with rubbery dots. scratching your nice surfaces is a no-no. to that end, I docked it one star because the joints get the dots. both ends have "feet" but the feet don't get dots. I had a bit of a time getting it to flex and move, but that might change with more use. it's pretty stiff out of the box. overall, I do like it. I can't use it for what I intended, but I'm sure it'll find a home.

Easy enough to put together, but be very careful doing so. It wasn't hard at all for me to snap off the very first holder, which doesn't appear to be welded-on or otherwise secured in a good manner. It's like they used the powder coating (I'm guessing) process alone to keep the "cup" on the threaded portion. I'll super glue it back on and hope that will suffice, but needless to say, I'm not overly impressed. It does look great, if only it were better made...

All the pieces are nice solid metal, no plastic or flimsy material at all. Poles screw in tightly to the base and the holders with no wiggling. A couple of the taller ones were a few degrees off 90, but was able to slightly bend them till they were straight. Being able to adjust the shape gives you a lot of options for arrangements. You can straighten it out (in a slight zig-zag for stability) to put on a mantle or down the center of a table, or loop it around on itself to make a nice tiered centerpiece. You can screw any of the poles into any of the holes so you can do the stair tiers like the photos or stagger them - you can also just not screw in some of them to use it with less than 9 candles too. If you need to put it away for storage it comes apart and folds up into a nice small bundle.

I bought this to go in our fireplace with remote-controlled candles. It's giving Practice Magic vibes and I'm so happy about it. I've put it on the mantel, and it works there too. I've also put it on the hearth and it looks amazing there as well. I like that I can move the height of the holders around to fit what I'm looking for. It came in right before Halloween and I'm so excited!

Very easy to put together. Very good size even when taken apart. Will look really good decorated for Christmas or any occasion. I don’t know how well it will hold up if taken apart and put back together a lot. But the versatility of it is what I like. It’s a very pretty piece.

Really disappointed in this, especially for the price. The black paint is scraped/chipped off most of the vertical supports in fairly large spots. Quality is fairly low. One of the places you are supposed to screw in a support is filled with paint or something that does not allow the screw to go in. You have to assemble it, that part is not hard.
