I needed a pair of boxing shoes for my son and was told that wrestling shoes would fit the bill and may be less expensive. I ordered these in both a 5 and 6 and another pair by adidas in a 5.5 to cover all basis as these type of shoes are supposed to be fitted to the foot but not so small you cant get your foot in them. My son wears a 5 sneaker in nike and the 5 in this would have been too small but the 6 was perfect. He liked them so much we never tried the adidas on. No breaking in they were good to go from the start. Tips- to get foot in , best to loosen each row of shoelace top to bottom and if needed use a shoehorn to help slide foot in. He wore thin ankle socks underneath just to cushion skin between shoe , which comes up slightly above ankle. It helps give him support when he is doing exercises. These are pliable with a nice sole . The laces are a bit thin but no issues yet . I just ordered a boot cover for when weather gets bad so he doesn't ruin them going from car to gym. It takes a little extra time to lace up and when removing loosen each row of laces and they slide off. Very pleased with these but I would order up a larger size.

First off, I got my pair from gear2compete like another reviewer recommended. I am a woman who wears women's size 6.5 and got a men's size 5 and they fit perfectly. They appeared too small, specifically too slim but they are very comfortable in my workouts. I specifically got them for boxing, not wrestling. For me, they have great ankle support and are very light and breathable. I am very happy with these shoes. I haven't been using them for too long yet so if my rating changes, I will update this review.

I am really pleased with these mat shoes! At first they are a little stiff so I would have to loosen them up before we left for wrestling practice since my son is 6 he wasn't able to manipulate the laces to loosen them up enough for his foot to slip in. However, after about 4 practices worth of use they were broken in enough to just toss them in the gym bag and EASILY loosen them up enough for his feet to slip in. These shoes have the velcro that stretches across the laces at the top to prevent them from becoming united during practices, which is nice! These shoes fit very true to size. I ordered my son the same sizes he wears in his every day shoes and these fit as expected. I would definitely recommend these to my friends and family. I was NOT paid or given anything to review these, I am a regular amazon customer 😀

This shoe is a great dirt for my 7yr old boxer! He loves the fit and he prefers to wear them rather that his Nikes. They fit great and he says they are comfortable! So I’m very happy with this purchase!

Got these for boxing and they work great for me at the beginner level. I normally wear a size 7.5 in women's so I initially ordered the size 6.5. Beautiful shoes but they were half a size too big. I didn't see a size 6 available in adult size, just in little kids size. When I contacted the seller they informed me that the little kids size 6 is actually an adult size 6 and for some reason they couldn't change it on Amazon. They ensured that I would receive an adult size 6, so I returned the pair that was too big and ordered the 6, which fit perfectly. The seller was very helpful and accommodating. I was feeling pain in the arch of my foot when jumping rope and shadow boxing, but that pain has stopped completely since switching to these. Comfortable shoes with nice support and they look super cool!

It’s a nice looking shoe. Had I purchase the correct size, I’m sure it would’ve worked great. I mean is she signed on last pair of ASICS wrestling shoes. these run much bigger. I want to buy a smaller size, I’ll Ever this company charges on the $20 more for one size smaller. No thanks
