Adidas makes a lot of shoes under the "SAMBA" name, so it's important to know which one your are purchasing. There are plenty of sites that break down the differences. These are the SAMBA classic soccer shoe - technically built for indoor soccer. It features a stiffer, longer tongue, arch support, etc. The SAMBA OGs are a street-version of the shoe with a slightly slimmer profile and thinner/softer materials. I think some people are expecting the OGs when they order these? The shoes I received are good quality and comfortable. The tongue does "squeak" a little when you walk, but I imagine as the shoe breaks in that will go away. I do like the arch support in these a lot. I'd say they are true to size. ... show more

UPDATE: 6 months wearing these Adidas Sambas and I am still loving them!! They're my go-to.... every day! Still in great shape too! I added a recent photo. I’ve been wearing these Adidas Sambas almost daily for 4 months, and they’ve easily become my go-to sneakers. Fit: They run slightly big. I recommend going down half a size. Once I did that, the fit was perfect. Comfort: Comfortable for all-day wear (walking, errands, even long days out). They felt a little stiff at first, but broke in quickly. Style/Versatility: These work with everything: jeans, work outfits, casual nights out. Super easy to dress up or down. Durability: After months of heavy use, they’re still holding up really well. No major wear, and the initial squeaking went away after a few wears. Cons: ● Slight squeak when brand new ● Sizing runs a bit large I liked them enough to buy a second pair for my daughter & she loves them too. I bought the shoes because of the “samba” look with the slim profile of the shoe. Aesthetically— really great, pretty high quality in that category. Colors are awesome contrast, and my wife immediately complimented me on the choice (she’s critically fashion savvy). Comfort— they’re ok. Not a shoe to wear for long distances if you have flat feet like myself. They do squeak ever so slightly after a few uses, but I think it’s just the leather rubber in particular spots. They look great, but the fit is a bit awkward. The heel slips out of the back of the shoe and it doesn’t feel like it’s on securely. Also, the tongue kind of digs in to the front of the foot. I’m hoping these are the type of shoes that need to be “broken in” and will say that I have definitely gotten a little more used to them after wearing them in the gym for a few days. They have a nice sturdy feeling which helps with balance while doing certain exercises like split squats, etc. There isn’t really any arch support so definitely not a running shoe. Overall they’re a nice looking, stylish pair of shoes for doing resistance training in the gym or for a casual night around town. ... show more

PSA to others: I was concerned about authenticity but ordered anyway. Once they arrived, did a thorough deep dive on how to spot fakes and am satisfied the pair I got are legit. That said, exercise diligence as I’ve read counterfeits and legit products can get mixed together in the DCs. Plenty of info online on how to check yours. Important note after reading some uninformed reviews: Adidas has several styles with the “Samba” name. I got these and a separate pair of “Samba OG” bought at a national chain within a week of each other and there are differences. Tongue length, silhouette and the feel of the leather are different. These are the classic, indoor soccer model and feel more durable. OGs are casual/street shoe. OGs are softer, lighter and more comfy. These are a touch chunkier. Photos show some of the difference. Oh, and the tongue does squeak as it’s a rubbery material, different than the OGs which are leather. It’ll likely subside with wear. Side note, I had a pair of these over 25 years ago that lasted forever. They hit the same. ... show more
