Excellent shoes. Carbon-plated, smooth transition and soft midsole, they work from 10-42km. Something to improve can be the achilles tendon structure that supports it, because if people don't use a cure-band they can get a chafing burn.

Not slow pokey, but pokey like something poking me in the foot. The left shoe upper had some piece of plastic in the upper that poked me until I bled during a marathon. I thought I found it and removed it, but it was still there during a second marathon, though reduced. Decent shoes otherwise.

These shoes successfully and joyfully brought me past the training and finish line of my first marathon (Honolulu Marathon 2024. 5hrs 35min). Many reviewers have pointed out problems with the upper causing discomfort/injury, I can't refute this because when I first put these shoes on I was disappointed in the way they felt because the upper does make noticeable contact with the top of the foot especially when walking. However, probably due to my foot anatomy and running form (heel striker), of all my candidates for my marathon shoes the Adios gave me the least pain problems. I also like their cushy but somewhat firm springy feeling. My other candidates were the Nike Vaporfly 3 and New Balance Fuelcell Rebel v4. The Vaporfly feels like I'm better off using them for shorter and faster runs. I think it has something to do with the fact that Adidas opted for carbon rods rather than a full plate in the Adios. The NB Rebel is currently my favorite all around shoe for 12 hr shifts in my feet and holds my PRs in 5k and 1mi, but I've never been able to run more than 17 miles in them because I'd get sore. Both the NBs and Nike's seem to have better uppers because I almost don't feel them, but the truth comes out in long runs. These shoes aren't for everyone, but I think this is true for ever other pair of shoes out there. Last but not least, like all my other Adidas shoes, they are durable. Pictured is my first pair with About 230 miles on them (not yet retired), and my second pair with zero miles on them. I just got back from my first run in my second pair for my 3rd fastest 5k. They feel stiffer and firmer when new, but definitely great out of the box. Yesterday I ran with my first pair on more hilly terrain and I really appreciate the way they feel when they are broken-in. ... show more

Bought these shoes to replace my existing racing shoes. These are so much more comfortable and stable than their nike counterparts. Updated now that I have done a long run in them. The cushions on the top part of the heel are very odd (there is a split in the middle and cushions on either side). On a longer run, these shoes absolutely tore my Achilles area (on both feet) to shreds, even with tall socks. I haven’t been able to put any running shoes on for several days. ... show more

Complete garbage. The eyelet broke when I laced them up, for their first run. Seriously, these have zero miles on them, I guess adizero is for zero miles before they break. These are the did-not-start, no-PR, no-BQ shoes of the century. Don't risk your next race with this shoe. To make matters worse, these were purchased from the Boston Marathon Expo Adidas popup store, and adidas.com will not warranty them. Even stupider, adidas.com offered me a 15% coupon, but it isn't even valid for this model of shoe. I could not be any stronger in discouraging you from buying the adizero 3. Find a different shoe company that will at least warranty a clearly defective product. Adidas, if this is your idea of performance, quality and service, then good luck. ... show more
