Exactly what I wanted. Been wearing these pants in one form or another for over 20 years. They’re very comfortable. These ones I got, are the softer material. It’s not the plasticy nylon type material that wooshes between your thighs when you walk. It’s the nice and soft variety. I have had two thicknesses of these pants, these are the thinner material. If you daily these like I do, then you will probably appreciate this review clearing up exactly what you can expect. On this occasion I got the XL Tall size. The price was right, so I ordered several pairs in differing colors. I’ve never tried the tall size. As far as I can tell they’re roughly the same as standard XL, maybe a little tighter around the thighs. The pairs I own I’ve had for awhile and maybe they’re stretched out, so maybe it’s the same, but these are definitely tighter around the thigh than the pairs I’ve had for years. I have large thighs, if you don’t have large thighs, it won’t bother you. It doesn’t bother me actually, but I can tell they’re a little tighter than normal. Which is fine, it’s good to have a bit of variety and they’ll probably stretch the older they get. I just hope they don’t shrink in the wash. One thing unique about these pants is they typically do not shrink in the dryer. So the tall aspect of the size, yes they are 2 inches, I believe, longer than your standard XL. I already dragged the pant cuffs around on the carpet, it’s just a little more noticeable. I think you should be able to see in the pic I attached to my review the fabric of these pants to help aid you in determining what it is you’ll get. I hope that helped out one of my fellow ADIDAS track pants lovers out there. ... show more

    • Great quality but not good for big butts
I got these for my big and tall teenage son. They are very good quality, but my son complains that they are tight in the rear end. They fit perfectly otherwise, so you might want to avoid these if the wearer has a proportionately large bum.

    • Fits my tall son perfectly!
The media could not be loaded. My son has some very long legs! He loves these pants and they do NOT look like high waters on him! He also loves how the bottoms of the pantlegs are not tapered. He has large feet, so they are easier to get on and off. My son is 6'6" tall 190lbs. And wears a size 15 shoe. I order him a "Large Tall" in these Adidas pants. They fit him perfectly! Update After A Few Months: What is happening to the quality of everything good in the world?!?!?!! I've been buying & wearing these for 25 years, buying a new pair or two, using the model number printed on the Adidas tag inside the pants, every so often -- probably 5 years give or take if I had to guess. They have always fit the same, and been made exactly the same. UNTIL this time. These ones fit snug in a Large when every pair prior ( 3 or 4 of which I still wear ) are big on me in a Medium. In fact the most recent before these ones slide down and fall as I walk if I don't tie the drawstring tight. These ones- in a Large, have no need for the drawstring. They're also lined with fleece, and have a gusset style inseam stitch that's never been there before, and it's just not a good look for this style of pant. I'm disappointed. Why does every single product that's already perfect, have to go and change after decades of success with the existing pattern/material/style/quality etc., ??? Sucks... I don't even wear these ones... ... show more
