I have purchased 2 sets of these Adidas Youth XL (18-20) microfiber boxer briefs in different colors. My son is a fast growing middle schooler and is wearing these as a 12-13 year old. He is growing fast and these have fit him great from 5' to 5'5" height and approximately 100-110 lbs. This is also the same size he wears in Adidas athletic shorts. These are soft and comfortable and work great for skin sensitivity/sensory issues. The boxer briefs aren't so long they hang out of his shorts (which he doesn't like). The crotch slot in front doesn't stretch out or rub and "feels weird" like a different name brand we tried (starts with H and ends with S) that sells a very similar boxer brief. These are washed in cold water and dried on medium head and we have seen no shrinkage, no pilling, no loose threads. Really appreciate the classic, low key design and colors for a young person who was initially nervous about middle school locker rooms and didn't want to be seen wearing "little kid undies" when changing for P.E. These Adidas boxer briefs are fantastic, comfortable, durable, and the perfect fit for my boys. Once we tried them, they wouldn’t wear anything else! They hold up well to everyday wear and washing, and the quality is excellent. Highly recommend for active kids!

I think these hold up great, pretty stretchy, and look awesome, however I do have a couple disclaimers. First off, the length is surprisingly short, which some people may not mind but I would prefer them to be longer. They also are itchy, and it takes some getting used too.

I needed to buy some extra boxer briefs to send with my soon-to-be-12-year old to pack for overnight camp. The reviews on the different adidas options were a little confusing, because it seems like they must have recently changed their sizing. I bought them in both a medium and a large, because older reviews all said they were way too small. The medium were a perfect fit, so I returned the larges. He weighs about 90 lbs and is around 4'10" tall, for reference, in case you are torn between which size to buy like I was. He wore them at camp, played ALL the sports known to man, and they came back without a single issue! Very breathable, not too long so they don't show under uniforms, easy to wash! My 12-year-old is incredibly sensitive to cotton and fabrics due to his sensory issues. It is really difficult to find underwear that is microfiber and long enough in the legs. These are perfect! I have tried so many other brands and these are his favorite by far. He loves the 'silky' feel of them and appreciates that they 'don't go up my butt' like other brands.
