They are susceptible to catching/pulling threads if you’re not careful, but that is what you get with 100% organic cotton, it’s a little bit more fragile. Bought these with my third child and wish I'd invested sooner! I love these swaddlers. They are big, soft, and worth every penny. I did have a problem with one of the two (a hole wore in it in the first couple of months). I contacted the company, and they not only offered to replace it, but I had the replacement in my hand within 5 days of my initial e-mail - amazing customer service experience. These are the best muslin swaddle blankets! I’ve tried several different brands but none compare. The Bebe au lait premium blankets are scratchy and their oh so soft ones are too lightweight for me. These Aden and Anais blankets are the perfect mix of softness and thickness. I love how durable they are and they look very high quality. I washed one of the blankets and they wash very well. I’ve had no pilling like some reviewers said. I even used bleach to get rid of a few baby stains on my blanket and the color of the prints hasn’t come off. It still looks brand new and perfect. These will last a long time. I was worried because these are very expensive so I love how they are sold in pairs of two for about $32. You can try out these blankets by ordering just the two pair to see how you like it. They have great designs to suit everyone. I’ll probably be ordering more!
