I have a 2014 silverado non bose system. I did not want to buy an aftermarket radio just so I can add a sub so this was the next best thing. The product is decent. My only concern is the connector that plugs into the computer is molded wrong. It clips into the old harness perfectly but it doesn’t lock into the computer so any bumps you hit and it falls out. I tried glueing it and that didn’t work so I ended up wedging a few folded sticky notes in there and it’s held so far. ... show more

Well I bought it for a 2018 Chevy Silverado and the male side factory plug snapped into the harness well however the male side of the “harness” did not snap into the factory plug. I had to RIG it up to stay in.

The sole purpose of why I bought this, was it's fairly difficult to get a switched 12v power on my 2014 Chevy 1500 for the remote wire. Thought this would be an excellent solution. But it's not. After getting everything hooked up. Thinking everything was good. The remote wire was extremely hot and melting! Ya see.... The green plug on an 8in display only has a constant 12V. It's not possible for the blue remote wire to work as it's intended. I'm not sure what's going on with the internal working of this LOC, but this blue wire should NOT be used as a remote wire. False advertising! And they know it, as the package they send it in tells you what to do! So you'll end up clipping the blue wire out. You'll also end up clipping the yellow wire so the LOC doesn't have power. Unless you want the cute little blue light that's on it to stay on all the time. Lastly, they had both signals spliced into one side (yellow/yellow black). For a sub, probably not a huge deal. If you're buying for a 4ch or 5ch amp, you'll be screwed and end up redoing the whole thing anyway. Save yourself the time and money, get a jumper harness and a different LOC and do it yourself. Also run a switched 12v from the fuse box. No other way to do it. After all that is done, you'll be good. Just spent way more then I should've for a blue remote wire. ... show more
