I got the medium (the smaller of the two sizes available) size and it is a loose fit on my head. If you wear a snapback hat where you have an extra hole in the plastic like I do you’ll probably need to adjust the straps. I got it to where its pretty snug after fiddling with the straps and inserts. Pros: Seems solid. I use it for distributing weight when using my digital nv handsfree (nvg30 for reference). For this purpose it excels. I don’t do paintball nor do I do serious tactical stuff or real cqb, but this thing works well for walking around the woods or night bicycle rides. Cons: These are minor gripes. I was totally lost on the strap system at first. They are fairly comfortable but they have a “silky” feel which I think standard nylon would keep their place better but maybe more uncomfortable after hours of use? The camo fabric cover thing was also a bit of a chore to get right but its pretty solid after I figured it out. The plastic picatinny and swivel doodads feel cheap, definitely not fancy polymer. The fast mount feels secure but there is some play with my device mount, maybe not even a millimeter of give but its there. If budget and use case weren’t heavy considerations and I was into more serious or action roles like airsoft or I was mounting a pvs14 I’d probably spend the extra 200 on a team wendy or hard headed veterans bump helmet or even an actual ballistic helmet. However, what I’m using it for I don’t regret it. I’m giving it 5 stars for both the price to play and it really did make me understand the importance of having balanced support for nv use and it works for that. I may upgrade later and keep this one to get a homie out there.

If your looking for a sturdy helmet for Airsoft or paintball look no further! It'll protect your noggin like it's nobody's business. It's made of this very sturdy and hard plastic that has a nice weight to it. The straps are easy enough to adjust and use, The Velcro is strong, I love the patches that came with it. All in all it's a very functional helmet that's worth the buy!

Very nice airsoft/reenactment helmet, comes with everything needed and then some. Only complaint is the chin strap is a bit uncomfortable but will get broken in. Good bang for your buck. Seems fairly well made and tons of adjustment for different sizes. Also has different padding configurations. Great piece of equipment to keep your noggin safe while playing airsoft.

i felt like i could’ve probably gone one size down to a medium, however the included pads for the inside of the helmet helped to make it a better fit for me (i bought the large). high quality buckles and straps, which are all adjustable for an improved fit. tactical rails worked as expected and accommodate a comms headset quite well. there’s a support strap in the back of the helmet which is an added sense of versatility when moving quickly. not heavy at all, great weight. i bought the one with the PJ style camo cover and cords, and it fit on there nicely. definitely recommend.

I bought this helmet for the sole purpose of being a bump cap. No more, no less. Having worn Ballistic rated helmets in my life, I chose getting a rescue/training type instead, for one reason, and one reason only... protection from debris impacts, terrain scrambling and Jeepin'. I suggest enhancing this helmet with better padding systems available, or a suspension system, for which I've done. Thusfar, I've hit it with a 2x4 (flat and narrow sides), bricks, cinder blocks and even wearing it, while intentionally hitting my head against the roll bar, while off roading. Not 'Mongo' style while yelling "I like tater tots", but just not resisting hitting my head on the roll bar. Thus far, no cracks. To the helmet or my head. The large is definitely LARGE. I have a big noggin and it was still loose with all the supplied padding. Definitely found the need to buy an enhanced padding system. The chin strap is sufficient, with the buckles working properly. However, I wouldn't trust them after numerous donning/un-donning routines. It is, what it is. And I like it. Might look for one with a better suspension system, but honestly... This one is G2G.
