    • cannot bend the sticks
This a set of very small magnetic holders. They come in a small tin. The magnets are not super strong, but the are enough to hold the clips with small lightweight items. But you cannot bend the sticks. Which does not make a lick of sense. I have a set for larger items, and it all bends so I can work on my itmes at any angle. here is it one way and that is it. ... show more

    • A lot of fun !!!
My husband loves it when I leave him little notes, mostly tiny post-its I stick on his coffee maker (love you, be safe today, have fun on your ride, etc). These won't stick to his Keurig, but they stick so many other things and have made leaving him a note very fun. There are many things that look like metal they don't stick to because they are not the right kind of metal I guess, but there are lots of places to stick these very sturdy magnets and a note sticking out on a stick gets noticed - inside the medicine cabinet, on the side of the refrigerator, microwave, and toaster oven, sticking straight out of the front of the dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer, file cabinet, and even our front door knob. Sticking straight out they get noticed. Very fun! I make lots of holiday cards and used these to hold paper leaves while I painted the edges then stuck them to the base to dry. Also when I added snow to paper pinecones. Before I found this set I held each item with tweezers while I added stuff and laid it down to dry while trying to keep the cat from laying on it. This set has also been very useful holding up swatches of paper and ink colors I'm using on my cards, as well as paper components I've put together (a witch, a pumpkin pie, a stitched ornament, a mini snow globe, etc). It's very easy to see the samples I've made standing up in front of me while I assemble the next card. The clips have held well, but still not dented any of my papers. The metal storage box lives on my desk and I have found it to be very sturdy, never tipped over or had any of the clips come loose. The clips on sticks are currently holding a list of food we will be bringing to Thanksgiving at my mom's house, ink swatches for trees going on my Christmas cards, and DMC labels from floss I need to buy more of. I usually keep 6 on it, 3 in the front row and 3 in the back row, and I love that I can rearrange my notes or card components by moving the sticks without unclipping anything.     • Ok As a Greeting Card Holder
I used the Actekart Metal Model Painting Stand Base and 15PCS Magnetic Alligator Clip Sticks Set as a way to hold the greeting cards I have on my counter. Everything for the metal model painting set fits in a metal box that has a sliding lid. The clips sticks, as other reviewers mentioned, do not bend, which limits how my items (in my case cards) can be in the same space. The magnets and clips are very strong and the whole storage design of the set is nice. I really can't fit as many cards as I would've liked on this, but I do understand that's not what this item is really intended to do lol ... show more

    • Kinda gimicky but they work...
These magnetic spring clips work good. The magnets on the bottom are plenty strong and you can stick them to anything steel. When you run out of room on top of the box they come in you can start sticking them to file cabinets, toolboxes or anything else handy to hold your parts while they dry. The vinyl on the jaws protects your parts really well. I actually put a little bit of primer build up on the part of the clips that touches the plastic so that the vinyl isn't a bit sticky on plastic parts. They work good but they do have somewhat of a weight limit so keep that in mind while you're trying to balance something that is too big for them to hold over the top of that small magnet. ... show more

    • Fantastic idea!
I absolutely love the thought of these magnetic holders, usually I'm over here painting all over my fingers trying to get that one last are painted, while hoping another area is dry enough to grab onto. 😂 The clips are strong and open up pretty wide considering how small they are!! I'm not due whether it's the case or the magnet but I did feel like these are fairly easy to knock over using very little force, (like when using a paint brush on them for instance) hence the reason for only 4 stars.. If the magnetism was stronger I would definitely have rate a 5! I can't tell you how projects I could have used these for in the last year! Countless! They're very versatile for sure! I love that there is so many in one pack too!! It's a great value for sure! I think I'll try sticking them to a different base besides the lid to see if they hold any better or worse! ... show more

    • Not quite a “stand”. Clips work well.
First off, the “stand” this set mentions is a nondescript metal box made of fairly thin material. It is not likely going to be very stabilizing once in use because it is so light. Anyway, the clips themselves are a good length and they are padded with rubber, so unlikely to damage what you put inside them. They have a good bit of grip so they are unlikely to slip. Will this work for your airbrushing work? Absolutely, with two caveats: 1: The stand is not stabilizing, so be mindful of the force applied. 2: The clip itself is going to cover part of the object, so you may want to consider further mounting it to a smaller piece of wire or toothpick or whatnot, depending on the project. ... show more

This was not bad of a product. My copy had some flaws. A ding on the metal case cover and one of my magnetic base came off from the support (will fix it with some AB epoxy). The build quality is good. Magnet was strong enough to hold up a typical plastic kit parts. Each gator clip is sleeved with a rubber protective sleeve so they won’t damage your parts. Unfortunately, the sleeve causes larger parts to slip off (like round parts). Aside from some of its QA issues, it’s still a great affordable gator clips for painting and keep your parts finger print free. ... show more
