This acrylic nail kit is packed omg. Just like the listing suggests you get various tools like brushes, nail cutters, files, alongside things to decorate your nails with like glitter and gems. Then of course there's the acrylic liquid and powders itself to actually make yknow, acrylic nails. It has everything a beginner would need. Quality wise I'm not sure it's my first kit so I don't have much to compare it to, but I did think the cutter was a bit dull. I managed to get it to work but maybe getting a good sharper one alongside this or maybe the manufacturer swapping out which cutter they use would be a good idea. As expected the acrylic smelled strong even when in the box, and as I was making the nails (there's a little paper showing you how to that comes with the package but I just watched videos tbh) I did have to wear a mask. I think it's expected though that acrylic nails will be smelly. It was also my first time doing acrylics in general and I think they came out OK. Again, this kit has everything you need, so I was able to make a simple set of nails for myself in a nice claw almond shape just like I wanted without going to the salon. I'd say my nitpick besides the cutter is that the way the items are placed could be better because the acrylic liquid isn't sealed so it might spill in shipping. Thankfully that didn't happen to me. Overall I had fun using this and if I had to gift this to someone else I think they'd like it too.

This set is pretty hit or miss. There are things I liked about it and there are things I didn't. A few of the things I didn't like about it were pretty obvious. The nail tips were not the best quality. And I sent a lot of them so that was a lot of something I wasn't going to use. The monomer made the acrylic really gummy and sticky rather than giving me a nice firm bead that I could pull out to the end of the nail and it dried fairly quickly for it being so gooey which meant it wasn't smooth. When a kid is for beginners it seems like you would give a monomer with a little bit more of an open time that makes a more clay like bead so that the new nail artist has time to form the shape. The glitters were cute but that's about all. If this is a kit for beginners the temptation of glitter when you're not even sure how to form a bead of acrylic yet is not great. It could lead to nails that don't dry properly and don't seal properly if someone doesn't know they shouldn't mix the acrylic and the glitter together. I think the visual appeal of this kit is that you get a lot of stuff. And that is true you do get a lot of stuff. I liked the clippers. You get clippers that work on different angles and that's really useful. You get three different colors of acrylic which is great. The liquid glue made a really strong bond and that was wonderful. I would have loved to see some acetone in this kit because a bottle of remover goes a long way when you're making mistakes. Or even just a bottle of alcohol. Some cosmetic wedges or sponges would go a long way to make this kit better. Maybe even a few of those clips that hold the nail on while it dries. I think those are things that could be added to the kit without raising the price point too much and would be monumentally more useful than two types of glitter and two cutters that basically do the same thing. The kit is easy to use and for the price I think you do get a lot. Where it lacks for me is on practical functionality. It's a large flashy kit it does catch the eye and while you may not use everything in it you will use most of everything so I think it's worth it in the end as far as something to start off with but I do see where there are some holes that you will have to fill in. This isn't a kit where you can just sit down and start working. You're going to need to get a few more items and that's where it loses something for me. When I get a kit I want to start playing right away and if I have to go to the store or get more things it just makes me feel a little let down.

My wife has never had fake nails before. I am not a nail technician. Together, we took the challenge of this beginner's kit and embarked on a journey into the unknown. First of all, the instructions are actually pretty good, and I only had to look up a few things online that I did not quite understand. The kit comes with a variety of different styles for acrylics, but starting out, we kept it simple. Again, with my complete total lack of knowledge of doing false nails, I stumbled along through matching false nails to my wife's finger tips, gluing, trimming and filing them to the desired shape and length, and then mixing and applying the acrylic to the nail. Probably the hardest part of this as a first try was applying the acrylic, which is going to take a lot more practice. We chose to not do any glitter in this first attempt. 3ish hours later, my wife proudly displayed the results of our first foray into the world with fake nails. So yes, I do recommend this set for beginners. There are a few items that aren't included in this kit that I think we probably need, but overall, this is a great set.
