This entire thing needed to be put together, kind of like IKEA furniture. I did not read the description where it said that so thats my mistake I am just warning others. It looks nice, I don't think it will be super durable there is already a small chip out of it where a kid plopped a toy on it. It did not cost alot so you get what you pay for. It will be great for someone who uses it for light use, not for a family with kids and pets ... show more

I have been looking for a contemporary lift-top coffee table for years. I am so glad I found this one! Not only does half of this coffee table lift to dining height with storage underneath, but the other half slides sideways, also for storage. I was able to store all of the little necessities that cluttered two snack tables and an end table in my living room. Everything is easily accessible when I need it, and neatly stored when I don't. The metal hardware that allows one half of the tabletop to slide sideways and the other half of the table to raise is of very good quality. It only takes one hand to raise the tabletop to dining height. Returning the tabletop to coffee table position is also easy. The tabletop hinge mechanism prohibits the tabletop from banging shut. The table and the chrome legs are easy to keep clean. All you need is a paper towel and some glass cleaner and the table looks great. NOTE: The table is also available in white. ... show more

Pros. 1. Easy enough to assemble. 2. Have enough storage to put away your remotes/games and such. 3. Both the sliding table portion and the table portion that lifts up are decent and sturdy. 4. Bottom portion of the leg is also sturdy. Cons: - Major for me in my opinion. 1. The Gloss surface is very scratch able. - Without even trying you will scratch the surface of the table, by either placing your soda cans/plates/remote and what not. For this price you would expect the manufacture to have a surface that is hard to scratch especially from day to day use. I would advise not to take off the protective plastic, if you care about your surface of the table for aesthetic look. ... show more
