  • No damage after 5 years
I first installed the std size ACL bearing set 5 years ago in my 2015 subaru sti. Recently i tore the engine apart again to upgrade my pistons to Manley. The crankshaft, and conrod bearing surfaces can be seen super clean with hardly any scoring at all. The actual bearings can be said the same. I use castrol magnatech or oem subaru oil at times. Many placed negative comments about these bearings, but its all joy for me. It is very important that numbers are coming out good during the initial measurements and correctly select the right size during the build. Also keep up with the oil changes to keep there bearings protected. ... show more

  • Terrible quality, practically guaranteed to lock any engine up
Absolute junk, professionally installed and checked for clearance multiple times with plastigauge. Prelubed all of them and had the the oil journals in the crank flushed and flow checked. Still, just as other reviews say for any ACL bearings, my damn engine locked up driving to the gas station just 3 miles into the rebuild, spun a bearing and two others started to spin. DO NOT skimp on engine bearings, please just go buy OEM or a REPUTABLE aftermarket supplier ... show more
