  • Super Monitor for an Excellent price!
Size: 27-inch Style: 180Hz Pattern: Monitor
I recently purchased the Acer Nitro Gaming Monitor VG270 M3, and I am thoroughly impressed. The monitor boasts a large 27-inch screen with a 180Hz refresh rate, making for a smooth and seamless gaming experience. The colors are bright and vibrant, and the contrast ratio is fantastic, making the graphics and visuals truly pop. The monitor is also incredibly user-friendly, with a fully adjustable stand allowing me to tilt, swivel, and adjust the height to my liking. The monitor also features built-in speakers, which provide decent sound quality, allowing me to immerse myself in the game without needing external speakers. The monitor also has various gaming modes, which I found extremely helpful in enhancing my gaming experience. The response time is also incredibly fast, a must-have for any serious gamer. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. It has exceeded my expectations regarding performance, functionality, and visual appeal. I highly recommend this monitor to any serious gamer seeking an immersive and seamless gaming experience. ... show more

  • An Amazingly Great Monitor!
Size: 27-inch Style: 180Hz Pattern: Monitor
I'm amazed at the picture clarity of this 1080p Acer 27" Nitro. The 180hz are smooth as silk and there is no ghosting whatsoever. It's perfect for all the games I play, most of which are fast moving shooters. No dead pixels either. I'm very happy with it. You couldn't ask for a better 1080p gaming monitor. ... show more

  • Superb monitor for the price.
Size: 23.8-inch Style: 75Hz Pattern: Monitor
I was looking for a gaming monitor for my Xbox One, had been using a Sony Bravia HD TV and it never failed anytime I wanted to game somebody was watching TV. Yep. I looked at the BenQs Zowie and almost pulled the trigger, but I really wanted an IPS monitor. So far I'm pleased with the purchase and for the price very happy with the quality of the product. Dimensions: Since the monitor doesn't come with an adjustable stand here's some measurements that might help you determine if you might want to purchase a separate stand. Height from desk to bottom edge of monitor: 3 1/2", height from desk to bottom edge of viewable screen: 4 1/4". Height from desk to top edge of Monitor: 16 1/4", and width of monitor: 21 1/4". The height of the monitor stand worked perfectly for me so I didn't need a separate stand. Initial impressions: The monitor comes in a basic plain cardboard box with some black graphics, nothing over the top. Packaging seemed adequate for the price point, standard foam protection wrapped in plastic. Assembly was straight forward, snapped together without issue. They left out markings for the connections, there's two HDMI connections but neither are marked, which one is HDMI 1 and 2? Small details left off to squeeze into the price bracket it's in. Not a big deal, not like you'll ever look at it again. The monitor stand, does it's job well and looks pretty cool. Startup: Fortunately for me I didn't notice any dead or stuck pixels. Color and appearance: Out of the box black was very washed out to light grey. Horrible. Played around with the settings and decreased the brightness. The settings menu has a lot of depth and adjustments, I set mine to Gaming. The only negative thing I have to say about this monitor is in the Gaming mode it throws the number "60" up in the top right hand corner of the screen. Not sure why they did this but oh well, I've gotten use to it. Another neat feature that I don't use is the monitor comes with built in crosshairs you can turn on, with a couple different versions. This wasn't mentioned in any of the information I read about it. Game play: Flawless as best as my aging eyes can tell, no issues. I'm nearing the completion of yet another play through of the Mass Effect trilogy and game play has been spectacular. Coming from playing on an older Sony Bravia HD TV to this it does feel more responsive. Maybe it's all in my head. In game movie cut scenes aren't great, maybe something to do with "gamer" mode settings. I've been using this monitor exclusively for the Xbox One, so I can't speak to how well it looks picture editing or such but based on the amount of settings it seems it would do fine as a standard desk top computer screen. I think this is a superb monitor for the price and I'm very happy with it's performance. Hope this helps. ... show more

  • Good Simple Monitor
Size: 23.8-inch Style: 165Hz Pattern: Monitor
The 23.8" IPS 165 hz monitor is good for general use. For the price, (Currently at 135 dollars and has been like that for a good while) it works very well and I don't see why people would fuss over it. Now the cons are there but a lot of them you can tell before using it. First, 23.8" is pretty small compared to the 24" or even the more desired 27". The picture you will display will be smaller than you are used too and if you intend to work on projects for work or personal hobbies then the display size may not be for you. Second is the cables that the monitors come with. They are pretty short which might not go well with your setup. You may need to buy longer cables for these monitors to be used cleanly. For the power cable it is just a power cable without any power supply box. What this mean is that the power is running directly to the monitors so if your setup doesn't have power spike protections and a lot of brown outs or black outs then these monitors will have a higher chance at being fried. Not saying it will 100% of the time but if you happen to smell burning plastic when using your monitors before they go black then you just need to replace them. Third, the screens themselves have no plastic boarders that you can find from other monitors on the market. However, there is a pretty thick black line on the boarder that doesn't display anything. This may have been a design choice to make people believe these monitors are borderless. Guess that is why these are 23.8" because that .2" is the boarder. Positives. These monitors do work. The shipping also came damaged free. These are very easy to set up and pretty easy to use as they are plug n play monitors that will find the connection automatically. These monitors do support blue light in order to help protect your eyes from the more damaging blue light. Nowadays more and more monitors have this function already but even if the ones you have don't you can simply get a screen to place over the display. The hz are pretty high at 165 with the IPS. This basically solves the main issue with IPS monitors with the poor blurring and bad corners. Now, when you plug them in they may appear to only be at 60hz. All you need to do is change that setting on your PC or device. If the device does not have any options to change it then you will have to deal with the device limits on this function. I do like Acer as they are a good company in my opinion when it comes to making their devices. They are not overly pricy and will work just fine. With this monitor, I can tell it isn't the best I ever had but I can also tell that it isn't the worst. Over time I am sure I will adjust when using them. Big reason for the four star instead of the five star is because of the issues/cons I pointed out. ... show more
