For anybody wondering if you can run this instead of an unreliable, twice as expensive silver blade on your LS2, the answer is a resounding yes. Fit my 2005 GTO M6 perfectly! Fixed my occasional “Reduced Engine Power” mode issue. It took a few revs to seem to catch up, but after initial run the car seems to run a bit smoother. I would definately choose this over a stock LS2 TB. Worth the extra bucks to go GM.

I was skeptical on buying this TB since it was going on my 2011 Sierra with a 5.3. Once installed the acceleration & response is a dramatic difference. Granted my old throttle body was dirty, but the difference is more than just of a cleaning. The truck is absolutely stock other than an intake & AFM shut off, so I was able to notice the difference immediately. Well worth the money!👌🏽 Do not expect miracles. Don’t think you will put this on & magically gain 30-50 HP. The reasoning is the RESPONSE not the HP! The throttle response is night & day. ... show more

I had bought this for an LSA project, but hadn't gotten to it. So long story short the TB on the family hauler needed to be cleaned.......we I had this NIB and threw it on for grins. Its a direct bolt on and the butt dyno said it did something. Once you have the old TB off flip it over and compare to the OEM TB that's on your truck....... you'll quickly see where the gains come into play! As with all GM vehicles, make sure to disconnect the NEG battery terminal to ensure it doesn't freak out and throw a code when you start it up. 3500 miles, runs better then new and no codes.     • Be sure that you’re getting a Genuine GM Throttle Body!!
I received my first throttle body and upon inspection, I did not see any markings on the box or on the throttle body that led me to know this was a Genuine GM product. I didn’t think much of it, because I’ve been out of the GM auto repair business for quite a few years. I connected it and started to test it and it worked a little bit, but then would quickly set an error code and my car would enter into low power mode. I was concerned that I had done something wrong. After talking through different scenarios with my tuner, I decided to return what I hoped was a faulty throttle body. Amazon did not have another vendor for this particular throttle body, so I gambled and ordered another one from this same vendor. When I received the throttle body, I was actually surprised to see that the box did have a hologram sticker that looked like a Genuine GM product…. and the throttle body did have a GM casting mark, was laser marked with the part number and a 2D barcode. I hooked it up to the car and it works just fine. Moral of the story… make sure that it has GM markings, if you’ve ordered a Genuine GM Product!! ... show more

2005 GTO A4 was basically undriveable the past 6 months as I began the laborious search for an affordable LS2 throttle body to fix multiple DTCs (Reduced Performance/Safety Mode isn't very safe on the highway). Thanks to the LS1GTO forum for giving me the confidence of trying this LS3 throttle body because everyone else had been saying these aren't interchangeable electronically. I disconnected the neg. battery, replaced the original throttle body, reconnected battery, erased any historical DTCs with a scanner, started it up, and drove off. Almost 200 miles later and no DTCs, no Safety Mode, and no issues. All for less than a used LS2 throttle body! 10AUG2020 Update - A year later and still no issues with compatibility.
