These are great quality canvas boards. They aren't too course & all the different types of paint (water color & acrylic) have had excellent results. I have also done some sharpie & paint marker projects on them & was surprised they both work great on this canvas panel too. The panels are somewhere around 1/4 inch thick & are pretty firm & do not bend easily. These are the perfect canvas panels for anything from a child's painting party to paintings you would want to hang in your home. I am currently painting some pop art for a room in my house & these have been perfect for the project. The price point is great & so is the quality.
