I ordered three of these in different sizes for my kitchen countertops that were stainless steel units. They are very nice. Beautiful unfinished wood and make a big difference in my kitchen, They are hefty and a good true 1.5 inches thick. I will oil them and cover them with thick custom 2mm thick vinyl sheets to protect them. This particular one was to be 48 X 25 and it came as 46 X 25. I will keep it as I can fill in the small 2-inch space with matching thin wood slats, but was disappointed. The other 2 were perfectly cut to the size I ordered. Other than the missing 2 inches they are amazing and I would buy again if I needed.

I could not be more pleased with this 72" x 25" butcher block top. It arrived quickly, and was very carefully packaged, escaping the damage of similar items in the past. It is very heavy. The construction quality is perfect with edges carefully finished. At 1½" thick, it is rock solid, and arrives well sanded, ready for sealing. The manufacturer recommends polyurethane, or tung oil, depending on the use. I used tung oil, giving the top a very light sanding before application. It took two coats, with 12 hours between applications, and it was ready for use. With a set of electrically adjustable steel legs, it is a home base for a 3D printer setup. It makes for a rock solid workbench, but would be equally at home as a kitchen countertop. This is a premium quality piece, good for years of use.

I am impressed. They came very well packed. I ordered one larger and two smaller ones, cut, finished and installed them in our walk-in pantry (former pantry + toilet and sink). They look great. They are not going to be used for good preparation, so I used a couple of coats of tung oil, let it dry for a week, then a couple coats of polyurethane, installed them, then another two coats of poly. No warping or cracking, so far. It's been about a month.

We used this walnut wood top to upgrade a worn kitchen island that came with the house. It fit perfectly on top of the old drab wood slab and looks great! We used the recommended 2-part epoxy glue after the old surface was sanded with a 60 grit sanding block and fully wiped cleaned. The new wood top was lifted by two of us into position onto the glued, prepped surface and adjusted to the corners. We left it alone for 24 hours to cure. Then, after applying a coat of food-safe mineral oil we let it sit for another 24 hours before buffing with soft cotton rags. The once worn island has become the center piece of the kitchen! We highly recommend it!

love this butcher block counter top. I added a few coats of clear poly and it looks great in my kitchen. The thickness is enough that I can secure table legs to it with solid screws. Build quality is as expected for raw wood. Not sure about durability yet as I just received them. I'll update this review in a few months.

This is heavy and is sealed in plastic so you can get right to staining and protecting the wood. It’s a natural color and fits the size and dimensions as listed. Worth the money for something brand new and very nice quality. Difficult to install or cut so make sure you have proper tooling and safety.
