I have two of these media blast type guns. They actually work very good with a blast cabinet using aluminum oxide as the media. I have a lot more expensive blast gun that is worthless. You can purchase steel and carbide nozzles that work with this type gun and others. These guns are cast aluminum. Some have flashing left in the air and media bores that needs cleaned out. This is pretty easy to do by disassembly of gun and clean out the cast bores with drill bits. For what this kit costs it is a bargain for a great working blast gun. ... show more

Once you get it figured out, that is, how to get around the kinks in the tube because it was wrapped really tight causing some kinks in the tube. Of course the colder it is the harder it is to get the tube to be flexible.

Had to improvise to make the hose work. Had to cut it about 2ft long and attach it to a funnel in order to make it work. Hose it kinked and bent, just terrible. Otherwise great product. Did its job really good.

    • Worked well for Harbor Freight blast cabinet
I used this kit to upgrade my Harbor Freight blast cabinet. A definite upgrade compared to the included gun. Didnt use the supplied hose but is working great. I am running about 4 cups of media and the gun pull the media very well. No more feeding issues.

$15 for the tool and $5 50lb of play sand from Lowes and this thing works great. rebuilding an engine and used it to strip the old paint from different cast iron parts. a large compressor and dry air make all the difference. for reference I was using a 180 gallon compressor @ 175psi
