Color: Carbon Fiber Shaft & Orange Wave Print Plastic Blade

Features

  • FIBERGLASS+POLYPROPYLENE BLADE: The fiberglass and PP construction with UV-stable ensure a durable paddle with a reasonable and affordable price. The double concaves 91 square inches blade adds power and stability to the stroke while reducing flutter of the paddle. It weighs about 30 oz (850g), and floats in all waters(When the whole paddle is assembled). It is perfect for beginners to intermediate paddlers.
  • CARBON SHAFT: The carbon composite shaft contributes to the lightweight of the whole paddle. Its stiff yet with certain flexibility required to maintain better performance and protect the shaft from breaking under extreme powerful stroke. The ergonomic and patterned PP handle grip increases traction and comfort for the hand.
  • ADJUSTABLE: Can be assembled and adjusted easily from 67 to 86 (170cm to 218cm). Its suitable for paddlers above 5 feet. Suggested paddle length is paddler height plus 6 or 8 inches. *Important: The screws on the clamps need to be checked and tightened if needed before using. And the maximum scale line should not be located above the clamp to avoid damaging it.
  • PREMIUM PADDLE BAG: All paddles come with an extra travel bag (size in 36x11). With superb quality zipper, handle, shoulder strap and inner flap for the blade, this bag provides perfect protection as well as convenience for travelling.

I got this to replace a high end Warner paddle to keep on my sailboat. The one piece Warner is just to long to be practical on a boat and so... Assemble is easy. I had to loosen the phillips screws on the lock mechanism a bit to allow the handle to insert but that is foreseen and is covered in the assembly instructions. It comes in three pieces and has considerable adjustment for height of paddler and style/ability. It's all carbon fiber except for the locking mechanism. I haven't had it in the water yet but I have checked it's flexibility in shaft and blade and it gives every appearance of being well built and up to the task. The weight is subjectively heavier than my feather-light and pricey Warner, but lighter than another one piece carbon paddle that I once owned. Not a bad compromise considering it's price and portability. It comes with an excellent carrying case. Go ahead and buy it ... show more

  • The paddle makes all the difference
Color: Carbon Fiber Shaft & Blue Wave Print...
I’ll preface this by saying I’m not a crazy serious paddle boarder. I have only been out a handful of times on my board. I live in Destin Florida which is arguably the SUP capitol of the world since it’s where BOTE was founded and basically everyone I have met here paddles. So I bought what most people do when getting into it, a super cheap inflatable that was made in china. The board itself actually is fine, but the aluminum paddle that came with it was garbage. Would t stay locked at a specific length, tape immediately fell off leaving rivets exposed, literally chewed a chunk of my thumb skin off, didn’t float. Yet I still found paddle boarding to be a lot of fun, and I wanted a nicer paddle. All that to say I researched a bunch of various articles online and Amazon reviews and decided to give this one from Abahub a shot even though some reviews showed broken paddles, I know carbon fiber is brittle and hard to work with, so I chaulked those up to likely rare manufacturing errors. First, like everyone says, the case is way nicer than you’d expect for a $70 paddle. Second, I’ve handled the $2-300 paddles in store and there is a quality difference but it’s negligible in my opinion. The blade is a little heavy but still leagues better than the cheap paddles boards come with. It’s light, smooth, and the lower joint doesn’t bother me at all if I happen to be paddling in a position where I’m grabbing it occasionally. It locks together tight. No wiggle at all. No spinning. No sliding longer and shorter (you likely do need to adjust the tension of the upper clamp). I have seen some photos with a 2 screw clamp, mine came with a single. It’s robust and works flawlessly. Once in the water the difference became immediately obvious. It floats so that’s cool, but more importantly it moves you through the water with ease. I flipped it backwards by mistake because I wasn’t paying attention till I noticed the fluttering… I paddled like that for about 15 minutes, which is 10 less than it usually takes me on flat water to get out to where I like to throw out an anchor. But water wasn’t flat today. I was getting hit with waves that were all different directions around 2’ tall with 20-30mph wind blowing straight and constant against me the whole way out. Getting back only took about 5 minutes with the paddle facing the right way. It’s so smooth and easy that it’s like a different sport. Way better power exchange. Way stiffer. No wiggle. No flutter in the water (when it’s faced the right way). It really is awesome. If you’re getting into paddle boarding or you’re experienced and haven’t bothered to get a nice paddle, try one of these out. It’s really awesome. ... show more

  • nice paddle but blade is overkill. but lighter blade paddles increase cost considerably
Color: Carbon Fiber Shaft & Black Plastic B...
I am new to SUP so this review is from my experience that your paddle is the second most important item next to your PFD. Spend your $$ on a good PFD and Paddle and upgrade your craft as your skills and conditions change. I paddled WW canoes, kayaks, rafts, and squirt boats both privately and as a video kayaker. I have only used this Abahub paddle a few times , one class 2-3 WW and rest mild river and a reservoir. Giant step up from the paddle included with my board. The shaft fits together without play and is super light. The blade is a composite and feels too heavy. This blade is probably capable of turning boulders into pebbles; but do you need that in this paddle? I see it as over kill and would have preferred an average blade making the swing weight so much less. Be aware a full carbon blade is much lighter but damages much easier than a composite blade. Blade shape feels ok. No obvious tendency to flutter or slice. Shaft has about right amount of flex. If shaft has no flex your arms and shoulders will pay the price. Blade weight aside, I doubt you will find a better paddle anywhere near this price. I can't speak for long term durability. From my limited use and close inspection; I feel confident this paddle should hold up well. Specs on digital scale: paddle 30.6 oz, 867g with lower blade section being >half of that at16.9 oz, 479g. The included case is extremely nice; much better than an "included" case usually is. Abahub: Please redesign blade to just "super strong" and lose some of it's unnecessary weight. I have been WW kayaking since the early 80's on extreme rivers and none of my paddles have had a blade this heavy since my first paddle, an Illiad, that I quickly gave away. I actually used it to dig holes for fire pits and it was unfazed. I suffered from swinging that blade weight and poor blade design. My current paddle has seen about 1000 miles of class 4/5+ including rocky steep creeks and it's thin , super light, blades are still fine. Blades need not be heavy or thick to be strong. Swing weight is as important as paddle/blade strength for stroke control. UPDATE: Still using this paddle but I see it's price has increased since I purchased it making one or two other paddles possibly a better value price/weight wise. This paddle has had no negative issues in the last year and and a half so other than the blade weight I have zero complaints. ... show more

This is the third one I have bought. The first was a gift and the other two are for my own paddle boards. Very durable, good quality paddle and convenient carry case.
