Read more Tips for Applying Traction Pads: Cleaning Remove any wax, old traction pad adhesive residue, dust or sand from the board, make sure the surface is clean and dry. Use a little wax remover if necessary. Outlining Find your ideal placement by positioning the pads on the tail of your board before you take the adhesive backing off, then trace the outline of the pads with a pencil or marker. Applying Peel the adhesive backing off, do not let the glue get stuck in anything. Hover the pads above the outlined marks and slowly put them on the board. Sticking Press the pads down for 30 to 40 seconds and push out any air bubbles to ensure a solid stick. It's recommended to wait for 24 hours before surfing. So far so good. Used it at least 20 times now? When I put it on I made sure to remove all old wax using a blow dryer and paper towels. Then she I applied it I warmed both my skimmer and the pad with blow dryer. The price is right, if this company made and arch bar is prob buy one of them too. Will update if things change 🤙 Update: Probably have about 60+ days skimming this pad and she ain’t lifting up along the edges or nothing. Must be some good glue! ... show more

I’ve not had a problem with any of the Abahub products I’ve purchased so far, including their leashes as well! first time out on the water with kick pads went better than expected. when i step my foot back and come into contact with the raised pad section, it feels like my foot is locked in and balance and control of the board is so much easier than before i had those pads back there. wish i had gotten this product closer to the beginning of the season, because i may have just taken my last paddle of the year up here in michigan. of course, only time will tell how well the padding holds up and the adhesive as well. i thoroughly cleaned the area with rubbing alcohol before application and then waited 2 1/2 days before taking it out on the water. initial impression is great. time will tell in regards to durability. ... show more

So far so good cheap knock-offs are my joy, seeing the surf industry markets over blown campaigns crumble is so fascinating to watch. Cheap Chinese no nonsense tailpad keeps your foot on the tail without all the sales hype,winning. But American needs to start manufacturing inhouse instead of using poor labor overseas. ... show more

Very cheaply made pad. Everyone is writing great reviews as if this was the best traction pad ever made!!! It’s not… Don’t be a kook. Value for $20 is better spent on other pads. The black I got looked like a cheap washed out grey and quality for appearance isn’t there I don’t trust putting this on my board. Super sticky and tons of traction. I even put it on after already having wax on my board. I recommend washing over and over with hot, soapy water. Then cleaning with rubbing alcohol and paper towels. Then heat the board and stomp pad with a hair dryer to make it even more tacky.

I love everything about this, however, it's a couple inches shorter than standard size. Not too big of a deal on my shortboard, but on my step-up, it would be too shot. If they would make this in standard lengths, it would be a stellar product.
