Description

It was a humid, dark night. Sweat rolled down the faces of several men. The Super Bowl Champions, New England Patriots, found themselves in a dark situation. With 5 seconds left on the clock, they were losing. Tom Brady had one person in mind: his Pro Bowl tight-end from Bristol, Connecticut, Aaron Hernandez. 5 - 4 - 3, the ball left Brady's hand. 2 - 1- Guilty of first degree murder. This is the story of a man charged or linked to a multitude of heinous crimes-one which left three victims gruesomely murdered-while hiding behind his NFL helmet and shoulder pads. He lived the American Dream; was a poster child and the most celebrated son in the history of Bristol. So the question remains: How did a kid, who was so rich in gifts and honors, and was one of the top five tight-ends in the country, grow into such a murderously angry man? Was it because he had CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy) and was never tested in time? And why does Bristol, the town that time forgot, keep landing in the middle of his lurid story? This is a page-turning thriller which is detailed with facts surrounding a kid from Bristol who became the killer we invited into our homes every Sunday. Touchdown - game over. He sacrificed it all...If you liked: The Patriot by James Patterson, you'll love this book. Read more

  • The Best Of The Aaron Hernandez Books
Format: Kindle
Out of all the Aaron Hernandez books, this one was the best. It captures you immediately and it's action packed, never a dull moment. I read it in eight hours straight, I couldn't put it down. The author writes LP like a movie. I didn't even know Hernandez did all those things. He was crazy, he really bad to have CTE. But what I liked the most was TTY the ending. This is a must read. ... show more

This book takes you on a thrilling journey with incredible highs and lows following the story of a man that seemingily had the world in his hands, but was living with demons he couldnt control. Really enjoyed the book, another great read by this author.

  • Why so much guessing?
Format: Paperback
I did not like this book at all. Throughout the entire book the author is saying what people were thinking at certain times. There is no way he could have possibly known any of this. Also he claims to know what people were saying, even at times when nobody else was around. He states that Arron had met his present girlfriend while attending college in Florida. No, he did have a girlfriend while in college but he had met his present girlfriend while in school in his home town. He hints that Arron and his baby mama got married yet he gives absolutely no details. I would also like to know why it is to late for his mother to be proud of him. Not important, but he did peek my interest. ... show more

  • Fantastic and enlightened
Format: Kindle
This book really gave you things that no one knew a about Hernandez. I also think ITS did play apart in his downfall. I would like more books about NFL players who broke the law. Very interesting and informative.

  • Riveting Story
Format: Paperback
The compelling but tragic story of Aaron Hernandez. The rise, the fall and the consequences which followed. I was totally engrossed and extremely impressed by this authors writing skills. Definitely a worthwhile read.

  • Zero Credibility Don’t Buy
Format: Paperback
This book was disappointing solely for the lack of research. This is a Lifetime fiction type of book. The false claims that they did any additional interviews or investigations is a ridiculous lie. The “quotes” of the last thoughts of deceased people is a perfect example. I could go on but I won’t waste my time because it doesn’t seem as though this book as gained very much traction anyway. If you want true information read Unnecessary Roughness by Aaron’s attorney & Aaron’s brother’s book. I would recommend reading the case transcripts and/or listening to the trial first so that you can form your own opinion. This book is a joke and so is the author. Aaron was guilty of being easily influenced and misguided, but I don’t believe he was the murderer. Shay is the only person that probably knows the truth and if she ever chose to write a book I would love to read it. ... show more
