Usually when you get a chair or a stool or any knock down article it is a pain to assemble...This stool did not require any tools it consisted of three parts, the frame, stem and the seatassembly. It literally took about 10 seconds to assemble. The stool itself is comfortable and very sturdy and easy to adjust in its travel. I usually have second and third thoughts about products from China, but this one is a huge exception. Even the packaging was sturdy being a box within a box which held the components secure. I was buying this to replace a 20 year old , worn out one. My old one is the same exactly! With one exception, the old one had a red seat that still felt solid, well padded and the cover felt thick and tough. This new stool had a flimsy feeling cover with not nearly enough padding inside. It looked like a kid wearing his dad’s shirt. Loose and baggy! I took the seat off of my old stool and it bolted right on to the new base, and between them I made one good stool. If I had to I could’ve probably pulled all the staples out of the new seat and add some stuffing, but should you really have to do that to a brand new stool? ... show more
