Maybe not the best quality food; however, if feeding multiple ferals/strays it is a budget friendly alternative and, in my opinion, better than most of the other low quality cat foods that contain grains (corn, wheat, etc) which are extremely unhealthy for cats to consume on a long term basis. The Special Supper Dinner contains only rice and a decent amount of protein. It does contain Carrageenan, which is not an ingredient I would feed my indoor cats. But at this lower price category, you have to accept some trade-offs and carrageenan would be one of them. For those feeding multiple ferals or trying to stay within a tight budget, this food is a decent compromise - affordable, palatable and better than many other options in the same price range. ... show more

Normally I buy Friskies X-ray gravy because my cats don’t eat just anything. However we had 2 hurricanes and a neighbor that moved off and left 5 kittens and 5 pregnant mamas and others. In a matter of one month we have 25 new born kittens, 5 other kittens, and 12 adults. I’ve spent hundreds keeping them all fed because there’s no room at the no kill shelters. I’ve converted a shed into an air conditioned haven for the mothers and babies. All the adults are equally cared for and load by load they are getting sterilized and vaccinated. Needless to say finding this food at the .10 per ounce made my day! I will be ordering loads of this from now on because the cats love it and those slightly more finicky will change their mind once they get hungry enough. The quality looks great! The moister content is perfect and it doesn’t stink! I only hope seller doesn’t decide to raise prices because I’d really like to stop buying Friskies. I can’t even get a coupon from them for financial relief even though I said I would send them pictures of the crew I had to rescue. ... show more

I really liked that it came in the bigger can. Makes it easier to feed 6 cats. Unfortunately, it made all of them sick. They were constantly throwing up so I stopped feeding them this cat food and they haven't thrown up since. So purchase with caution.

The cans are not pop top you need a can opener to open them. They do slide out of the can very easily, which is great. My cats are eating it so far so good. It doesn’t look like there’s a lot of filler in it and it does say that there is no corn wheat or soy in this product which I think is great.

I feed feral cats and they seem to love this food. I’m grateful for the large can size and it has helped me enormously and cut down on my time spent feeding my colony. The cats have all been trapped, neutered and returned to my backyard wher they also have all season shelters.
