Last summer, my car’s air conditioner decided to quit on one of the hottest days of the year. I drive a 2011 Ford Fusion, and the thought of enduring the heat without a functioning AC was unbearable. After some research, I found the A-Premium Air Conditioner AC Compressor with Clutch, which was compatible with my car. I was a bit hesitant about tackling the installation myself, but luckily, my friend Tom offered to help. He’s a bit of a car enthusiast and has always been good with these kinds of repairs. We needed a new AC Compressor for our 2007 Lincoln MKZ with the 3.5L Engine as ours had a nasty whine. So I ordered this unit up, it is nice it comes prefilled with oil and is a bolt in. I will say for anyone looking for info on how to change the AC Compressor on a 3.5L Fusion/MKZ it is quite a treat. You have to remove the oil filter and use a combination of extensions and universal joints to get to everything, it isnt a terrible job but still be warned it is very tight quarters. The clutch on this unit is a bit noisier engaging and disengaging on this compared to a more expensive unit, but it appears to be just as sturdy. ... show more
