The compressor arrived with absolutely ZERO documentation or instructions. I had no way of knowing if the compressor came pre-filled with oil? How much oil? or what kind of oil? The manufacture is the one who must supply this information. After reviewing the listing, I noticed in the specs said, "Oil prefilled: Yes" Ok but I still have no idea how much or what type? Prepared and installed the compressor (3 hours), vacuum lines, fill with R132a ($60) and everything works! But after an hour I get this grinding noise like my old compressor was doing before it froze. Contacted Amazon and we tried to contact the seller who provided no response! Amazon said to give them 2 days. I said my compressor will be ruined by then. They don't get it! So now I'm out all that labor and freon because the seller won't provide the information needed, and dealing with Amazon customer service is like talking to trained seals at the circus! ... show more

    • Does not fit a 2004 Ford Escape
The quality seems good but it did not fit my 2004 Ford Escape. It did not line up with the pulley. It was a 1/4 inch too short causing the belt to keep jumping over. Had to return it and buy another brand which fit perfectly Wasted time installing /uninstalling this and $50 on coolant.

Doesn't fit on a 02 escape and I think there's another review for an 04 escape that didn't fit either. Possibly a design flaw or its just not designed for Ford escape's
