I couldn’t wait to dive into this book. After reading High Achiever which was, for me, powerful, impactful and educational. As a daughter of an alcoholic I couldn’t understand the drive behind addiction. But I still had compassion for my mom. I mean I smoked cigarettes, that too is an addiction as well. Though I quit over 11 yrs ago, it at times wasn’t easy. So imagined alcoholism was likely even worse. I had no idea that “High Achiever “ would open my eyes and heart. It did so much for me. I read it in 2019 not knowing that in a few years I’d have a son would be a drug addict and that book was literally my lifeline. Had I not read it, I wouldn’t have known the drive behind his addiction. How hard it was on him. The guilt he felt. The pain he felt. But also the heart ache we as parents would feel knowing we had to make tough decisions as well. We couldn’t be enablers. I begged him to read that book for so long. He showed no interest. Not until last Eekk when he went into a 12 mth, 12 step program. He called and asked for it. So along with other items he needed I gladly took it to him. He devoured it in just a few days. Many other addicts in the rehab took notice of how he was so drawn into that book. They’d ask what he was reading so he’d tell them about it. Every one of them asked to borrow it! I ordered 6 more copies to distribute within the men’s section of the rehab. Oh how I wish I could do more and get some to the women’s. I will. I know in time I will! Grown men are crying while reading it! They needed that book!!! Now here we are with this latest book “A Clean Mess” and it didn’t disappoint! This will do sooo much more for these guys and gals! My son has already started reading it and will pass his copy onto someone else when he is done. I loved it as much as I did the first book. I’m so proud of Tiffany and all the other addicts trying to stay clean. It’s the hardest thing they’ll ever do but they are worth it. Life is worth it! I have followed Tiffany before she wrote her 1st book. As soon as I heard she wrote her 1st book(as a recovering addict) I had to have it. It was the first book I had read since I was in school. It sparked my love of reading again! Fast forward to this year and u heard she put out a second book!!! I bought it as soon as I heard it was out. Most books take me a week or 2 to get through, however when i get one in my hands like this book, I couldn't put it down. I read it in 2 parts! It's such a raw, beautiful story of an addict surviving something that would cause most to relapse. Instead she kept her nose down and kept trucking. I am so proud of her for this accomplishment! This is such a relatable book! My life has gone similar to hers. It's good to know that even if your marriage/relationship falls apart. You can still find love(with children) as older women. If you haven't bought this book yet. I highly recommend you do!!!!! She's brilliant!!!! ... show more

I have followed Tiffany on social media for several years now. I read her first book in one day. She left me wanting more, I needed to know how things turned out after becoming a wife and mom while remaining clean and (mostly sane). "A Clean Mess" picks up where "High Achiever" left off, letting us all into the private, most personal parts of her life that were kept quiet for so long. I can relate to so many things she wrote about in this book. I’m not typically a big reader, but as a longtime supporter of Tiffany, I had to get this book... And it did not disappoint! Tiffany is so real, down to earth, completely open and honest. She wrote in such detail and unfiltered honesty, I felt like I was there. I pre-ordered the day I found out it was available. The months of waiting were so worth it! I also bought the Audible version so I could hear Tiffany narrate her own story, while following along with the physical book, which made the experience even more real. I waited anxiously for Amazon to deliver. I read most of it the same day. I took the entire day off to read it without distractions. I made myself stop reading so I wouldn't be awake all night and I wanted to really take in every moment, not just rush through it. I finished it the next day and started reading it from the beginning again. Yes, it really is that good! Tiffany finds herself in a predicament that changes her entire life from that moment forward. This real life story is gripping, raw, relatable, and we get the good, the bad and the ugly, it's all there. Tiffany really poured her soul out in this memoir. It takes a lot of courage to allow yourself to be vulnerable, unveiling so many personal details, but she did it. It’s a powerful reminder that healing is possible, and that strength comes in many forms. I am so incredibly proud of her! Scrapping the first final copy that was already sent in, getting it back and rewriting the entire story to give us the real, updated version was the best decision and I'm so glad she did it! Tiffany is so authentic, the way she describes her feelings through the journey from the halfway house through marriage, motherhood, juggling a career on social media, having a sense of security, to have things completely take a turn no one could expect is both shocking and inspiring in how she handled it all. Putting in the hard work to maintain her recovery, sanity, managing social media in the midst of a crisis, learning to navigate this new way of life, it is so inspiring. I know this book is going to help a lot of people. Whether you're someone in recovery, a loved one of someone who is, or someone dealing with mental health challenges, betrayal, divorce, becoming a single parent, getting your life back and what that may entail for you in your own journey through this crazy thing called life, "A Clean Mess" has something for you. I am so beyond grateful to have the privilege of knowing Tiffany, even if only through social media. The impact she has had on my life, she will never fully understand. Buy this book!!! I read it in one night! I could NOT put it down. I have never personally struggled with addiction but I fell in love with someone that eventually did. We went our own ways and eventually he passes at 38 years old. We have two children together. I love hearing someone else’s story about getting through addiction. The raw feelings, pain, heartbreak, struggles, and the redemption. I love knowing that some people have a victory through addiction and their children keep their parent. That is beautiful. I love that Tiffany keeps fighting and uses her testimony to help others. Life may not have turned out the way she planned but her life story is one that is helping others find hope and not feeling alone. This is my first ever Amazon review. I am so happy to support Tiffany on her journey to victory and helping others. PS. This is an easy read. I follow Tiffany on social media platforms and have to say the book is her. So many authors have memoirs that sound so unlike them. I appreciate that this book is very authentic and true to Tiffany. That’s what makes this book even more valuable to read. ... show more

First and foremost, I love Tiffany. I’ve been following her since the beginning of time, I absolutely adore her. I’m no stranger to addiction, been there myself a few times (alcohol). **Been sober for one year** Okay, enough about me… Her book hit me in the feels a few times and I could definitely relate to certain feelings she described in her book that she was going through at the time! I’ am honestly not a fast reader, it takes me awhile to finish any book. But, I could NOT put this book down. I wanted to know what happened next immediately after each chapter. I finished it in three days and for me that’s pretty fast! I gave it four stars because I do feel like she could have went a little more in depth. The chapters were a little short and the ending came abruptly. But, that’s just my opinion! Either way, I think anyone who reads this will love it! 🖤 ... show more

    • Tough to Take but Very Real

Tiffany Jenkins has written a memoir about her recovery which punches a lot of buttons for me. No, I was never an addict, but my second husband was. She begins her story by describing the shock she is going through when her husband blows it by messing up in Vegas after ten years of marriage. I totally understand this as something like this also happened to me. It’s hard to believe when it first happens to you, however eventually you have to face it and understand that the person you thought you loved has let you down. Sometimes, you have to accept that you may have played a part in this situation as well. I really respect Tiffany and read the book in a single day. I appreciate how she writes about the place where she lived, and her honest descriptions of what she went through dealing with her kids. Not everything is always easy-I can relate! I recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand how a person with failings can admit the truths and go on to triumph. Tiffany is awesome! ... show more

I bought the Hard Cover Book. I started reading it and thought you know what would make this better... Tiffany reading it to me. I had an long road trip coming up so I bought the audio book, too. Did not disappoint. Tiffany has such a way with telling her story. I am not owed to know what was going on with her life but I so appreciated the details. I had been curious what was going on since I read her last book. Very good book and Tiffany did wonderful reading it. ... show more
