Description

    • RIP9 is a Must Have Otome!
A heads up: This game does delve into a couple of uncomfortable topics. There are no explicit details but please do some research before buying. I sincerely wasn't sure about this game. I was expecting a horror game with bits of romance thrown in, kind of like Virche Evermore. However, RIP9 turned out to be AMAZINGLY cute! I LOVE all the love interests. In their respective routes, they were always super sweet to Misa. The story doesn't belabor the horror aspect but focuses on the paranormal more. Despite the seriousness, the routes were light affair and passed by super quick - about 5 hours each. I smiled alot and there were a few times I cracked up at their antics. The endings are bittersweet. The LIs are ghosts and spirits, so as a human, you can't really have a relationship with them while you are still alive. So, some of the endings does have them promising to meet in the afterlife. Every good ending is uniquely different. There are bad endings, but they are quick. Took me about 35-40 hours to complete. Highly recommend! Hands down, RIP9 has become one of my new favorite otomes. Well-written, well-paced, compelling love interests and a heroine with common sense makes this a must have. ... show more

This otome game is well worth it. Every route is charming and interesting. Its not so much a "horror" theme as a paranormal one. The art is very good and the writing and translation is very well done, I found very few errors. The game does cover some triggering topics such as suicide and murder, etc. So be prepared for that. I did not find those topics handled in a way that was disturbing to me but just so you know going in. I have played dozens of otome games and would rate this game a 9/10, one point off for just some slowish pacing in the beginning of some routes. Highly recommend. ... show more

    • Surprisingly amazing
I was hesitant to get this game as I've only played a couple of otome games before (hakuoki which I enjoyed and piofiore which I did not enjoy). Reading the synopsis that this game is about the paranormal I decided to play it. I am soooo glad I did. The art work is lovely and the characters are quite interesting. Also, there are few games that I've ever wanted a soundtrack to... But man I wish this one would've came with a CD. Anyways. This game is a roller coaster of emotions and honestly I haven't really been obsessed with any games in a long time until this one. I 100% recommend this game if you like the the supernatural element and otome games in general I believe you will enjoy this one. ... show more
