A mixed-bag bookshelf, but good once it's built. The instructions are quite good - very clear, everything is well-labelled, pictures are good, with holes shown in the proper places. All the pieces are labelled, but with annoying stickers with bad glue. Bring a jug of goo-gone. And there are so many different pieces! This is a design that with a couple of tweaks, you'd only need three different sizes, really, but it feels like each one is unique. The vertical spine is three pieces, not one. The included hardware isn't so nice - the allen key doesn't fit screws very well, and is a little wiggly. The screwdriver isn't great either. Standard sizes though, so you can use your own. There are no spare small screws, and they strip easily with the included screwdriver, so be careful. Couple extra long screws provided. The bottom drawer is silly - why make everything out of wood and then do that out of printed fabric? Weird. Once done though, it feels solid and stable. Can hold a pretty fair stack of books. Are you trying to be efficient in space? This bookshelf is pretty compact and looks very cute doing so! I'll say building it with the manual was a bit of a challenge! The only con about this shelf is the bottom. I was honestly wondering if I should even include it or just leave it out while building it. The bottom consists of a fabric pull out drawer, but it's made to look like wood. It just kinda looks weird, idk. I just hide it with plushies. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The simple instructions with sticker labels on each piece made this a breeze to assemble. I love how it looks and it takes up less space than a traditional bookshelf. By far the best price and great quality.

Putting it together without the instructions won't happen (they're in there though, just look for them) because the pieces are VERY exact. That said, it's a great little bookcase especially if you don't have a lot of room. The quality is there and it has a great weight to it. The only downside is how they finished the little drawer at the bottom. The insert that goes inside is made of fabric that APPEARS to be wood. At a quick glance it's ok, but not when it's up close or you have to put something in it. I wish they hadn't cheapened out on that. ... show more
