    • Good support for sagging gates, but adds resistance and needs a clean path
Size: 6-INCH
Worked well for supporting a sagging driveway gate. Strong enough for my setup, but does add some resistance and needs a relatively clear path to roll smoothly. I installed this on a 12 ft metal driveway gate that weighs around 300 lbs. The gate was starting to sag, and this wheel helped take some of that load off the hinges. The wheel itself is a good size and handles rough surfaces fairly well. Mine runs over packed gravel, and it rolls without issue as long as the path is clear. The spring compresses slightly under the weight, but not much—still maintains good support. The frame feels solid and has held up to the stress of opening and closing the gate without bending or flexing. One thing to be aware of is that it does add some rolling resistance. If your gate is automated, debris in the path (rocks, sticks, etc.) can stop the gate from opening or closing. Installation was straightforward. It comes with hardware for bolting on, but I chose to weld mine for a more permanent setup. Cons: Adds resistance when opening/closing Can stop movement if debris is in the path (especially on automatic gates) Bottom line: Good solution for sagging gates, Just be aware of the added resistance and keep the path clear if you’re using it with an automatic opener. ... show more

Sturdy and hefty unit. This worked perfectly for our application. The swinging gate it supports weighs about 200 pounds. Swivels and travels with ease. Included bolts are only 2.5” long. We needed 3.5” to complete the job. Minor complaint for an otherwise easy install.

I got this 6" wheel for use with a heavy Wooden Fence gate. I have had to replace several because of the poor construction and short life span. This wheel has a capacity rating of 650 pounds and so far rolls with ease despite the weight of my gate. The spring loaded shaft work great for uneven surfaces giving the wheel some shock absorbance. The grease zerk is easy to get to for maintaining the incased bearings for the swivel. 750lb Capacity is not correct, installed this on my gate ( i can lift the gate by myself ) and the weight of the gate compressed the spring and the gate bottom out on the yard.
