Having bought an older home with a wood gate for the yard, I was hoping to find something that would lift the gate a bit and keep it from dragging. As others mentioned placement and spring back is important to roll smoothly on an uneven surface. Before using these, we are going to have to level out the area some because it is too uneven. That being said, these are heavy enough to hold a large stockade fence gate. Just be aware of your location and needs for clearance.

These gate wheels are probably the heftiest ones I’ve ever seen. Having built many wooden gates over the years, typical gate wheels are prone to problems over time with function. These gate wheels are extremely heavy duty and work incredibly well on uneven terrain. My gates open and close smoothly with these installed. Very happy with them.

We really like these. They look good and seem well-made. The gate wheel we had was nice, but it had no traction or brake. This is a great upgrade. The dark finish also matches are gate wonderfully. It blends nicely. The brake also works perfectly, which is major for us. I’ll also say, the hardware of this is stout. It’s actually beefier than the larger caster I replaced on our gate. Love that!

Beefy. Beastly. Ginormous. Either bolt through wood/rail or use U-bolts on pipe. Grease point to attach sleeve to apply grease into the beefy bearings. Smooth operation. Comes with gloves I didn't use. Came with wrench that I did use. Held a heavy steel frame gate and 1x4 slats. Happy with it. Not sure the Spring does anything, but I trust it. Not sure I needed a on/off lever, wish it was optional. Overall, fit my need to prevent the gate from sagging.

This is a sturdy and heavy duty wheel. And is definitely meant for heavy projects. I am using it on my light wooden gate, and feel like it is overkill. lol. It does roll best over a mostly flat surface, but a little variance is okay. As for the Brake... I could take it or leave it. It works though. i just don't need it in my application.
