They’re incredibly stylish and elegant with a sleek, modern design that’ll complement pretty much every genre of photo or print you wish to display….as well as fit into any style of decor in your home. The wood is heavy and thick enough to stand on its own, but can also be displayed on a wall. I got these to frame two water paintings on thick card-stock, so was a little worried after reading they needed to be placed between two glass panels….but they fit perfectly! I also didn’t have any difficulty with slippage as the sturdy construction of the frame ensures they stay securely in place. These frames are extremely clever! And really nice, too. Just like any floating frame, if you’re familiar, you don’t need an exact size photo to match your photo. That’s the beauty of a floating frame. But I’ve never seen one like this. You actually sandwich your photo between two pieces of glass and slip them through a slot at the top. There’s none of those small sharp prongs to fasten anything in place. You start by removing the long piece of rubber at the top, see photo. You’ll probably need something thin to wedge it out of the small slot at the top. The only thing you have to get used to is centering your photo between the glass pieces. That just takes a little practice. Putting the two pieces of glass together, the photo tends to slip around out of place, but once you do, it’s very secure. The frame is three-dimensional like a shadow box. It was special enough for this picture of my sweet Grandma. ... show more

The frame came well packaged, plenty of padding to prevent broken glass. The frame has a few components - the main black frame, 2 panes of glass, and a rubber/foam "sealing" strip. I really like the frame - nice and wide, with a matte black finish. The frame also has hangers pre-installed on the back for vertical or horizontal mounting. For me personally, I plan on removing the mounts. The frame will be sitting on a shelf. This allows me to have a picture on both sides, and I can flip the frame around when I want to change things up. I was slightly concerned that the pictures would be loose or go "off center" when wedged between the glass. Once I aligned the picture and put the top pane of glass on, the picture did not move (and I did not use any tape or glue). With the picture between the two panes of glass, the assembly sides in from the top. Finally, the foam strip closes off the opening. I had to black out my attached image due to copyright, but you can get the idea. It looks very nice, and I highly recommend. ... show more

I love the strong look this painted pine frame makes as it extends almost 2 inches from the wall after hanging. Two sawtooth metal hangers on adjacent sides on the back of the frame allow your pictures to hang portrait or landscape style. Instructions on loading your pictures into the frame (since they are sandwiched between two pieces of glass) and making adjustments to compensate for gaps are included in the manufacturer's box. The glass is held securely inside the frame by a rubber cylindrical strip that fits snugly across the end of the open slot the glass slides into. The amount of space between the two sheets of glass can accommodate more than a single sheet of photo paper if you wanted to frame a card or a pressed flower. The frame is well made and carries a warranty. Unfortunately, it's not clear if it's two or three years since two pieces of literature inside the box cite different warranty periods. this is a nice floating frame, very thoughtfully designed, ready to hang in either direction. it was packed incredibly well and the glass fits with room to place your art, unlike others i've had that are so snug, it's difficult and dangerous to get the glass in once the photo or print is sandwiched between the panels. that shouldn't be the issue with this frame for most types of paper/stock. nice value for the quality, love the foam insert to "stop" the glass, too, much better than tiny hinges that can sometimes loosen. ... show more
